' We lifted our muzzles to watch a bright orb flash in the sky violently. Our maws parted in both shock and awe, and we gazed as the bright light began to plummet towards the ground. We continued to watch, frozen, and a yowl sounded from our clan, though I was unsure of whom it was. '

' ' A sign! StarClan has finally answered our prayers! ' '
The cat yowled, their voice thick with desperation and relief.

' ' Perhaps. ' '
Our leader purred, still taken aback by the bright orb burning through the atmosphere.

' ' What do you think, Ember ' Sight? ' '
Our leader turned his muzzle to our medicine cat, lashing his tail in anticipation.

' The clan remained eerily silent, watching Ember ' Sight with impatience and desperation. Ember ' Sight however, remained silent, staring into the air with question. But she didn't stare at the bright light that continued to fall at phenomenal speed, she stared straight ahead, with glassy amber optics. '

' ' Ember ' Sight must be receiving a message from StarClan! Two already? How is this possible? Ember ' Sight! ' '
Our deputy yowled, sitting close to the brown pelted she-cat in sheer impatience.

' ' Silence. StarClan will take however long they need to give Ember ' Sight their message. ' '
Soot ' Star hissed, jerking his white muzzle to the right of him in a shooing notion.

' Reluctantly, deputy Fallen ' Vine stepped back, sitting close behind Soot ' Star. '

' After what seemed like many moons of silence, Ember ' Sight gasped, jerking her muzzle backwards. '

' ' Ember ' Sight! Speak to us! What message has StarClan delivered? ' '
Soot ' Star purred indignantly, his ebony pelt glowing a bright silver against the comet's luminescence.

' Before she could speak, the comet crashed, sending a bright beam into the cool night air. Blinded, the felines of ShadowClan shut their optics quickly, spitting. As the light settled, cats began to open their eyes, observing the light ripple that lingered as the beam began to die out.

' ' What was that? ' '
' A kit questioned, though her voice was hoarse, and her pelt pressed to her skeleton; clearly showing just how starved the cats of ShadowClan really were. '

Other kits joined in, but queens quickly silenced them, casting worried glances to Soot ' Star.

' ' Speak to us, Ember ' Sight! Was that the sign we need? Will our clan ever prosper again? ' '
' Soot ' Star meowed fretfully, letting his worries spill. Starvation and grief had shaken the young leader to his core, and little hope was left in the tom. '

' ' I have indeed received a message from StarClan. But it is unclear that it will heal our clan. Listen well all of you, for StarClan believes that it is up to every kit, apprentice, warrior, and elder to allow us to remain ShadowClan. ' '
' Ember ' Sight spoke, the glassy look her in amber optics gone. She seemed confident, though it was unclear to us whether it was for the hope of the clan, or certainty. '

' ' They spoke to me in an odd tongue, though the melody they gave me was clear. ' '

' ' Very well. Continue. ' '
Soot ' Star meowed, his tail tip twitching. It was clear this news would either make or break the tom-cat.

' ' Star light, star bright, first star you saw tonight. Wish you may, wish you might, have the wish you wish tonight. As bright as the sun, as dark as the moon, heed our warning, remember this tune. ' '

' ' What does it mean? ' '
' Several warriors called, their pitches high and fretful. '

' ' It is unnervingly unclear. But we will decipher this message, and our clan will prosper once more! At any cost! We will fight every feline in the other clans until they lie dead before us. We will become ShadowClan once more! ' '
' Soot ' Star whipped around, lashing his tail, and yowling triumphantly. Many of the clan joined in, yowling words of encouragement and hope to one another.
This was the boost we needed. '

' But would we ever make it to this supposed star on time? '
