I wake in the mornings,
To a new sunrise,
To find you next to me,
With only truth, no lies,
I find myself smiling,
Though tired I am,
Though I wish to fall asleep again,
Waking to fresh toast and jam,
I listen to the sounds you make,
As I start my day,
As it becomes a little annoying,
Though I wouldnt have it any other way,
I wake in the mornings,
I count my blessings by the hand,
I find love blossoms each new day,
I find I'm still tied to you, by string and band,
I want to stay home with you,
I'll settle for evenings most of the time,
I'll listen to the sound of your breathing,
And note it down in my pocket full of rhymes.
