Chapter 14: Remember

The dinner is quiet and tense as the two omegas avoid the gaze of a very angry and displeased Taehyung. Once Taehyung finishes eating, he stands up from his seat and motions for his mate to leave the dining room with him. When Jungkook stands up with him, the others quickly stand up.

"Do not feel as if you need to finish too. Eat all you want." Taehyung coldly tells the two omegas then leaves with his mate and friends.

The small human sorrowfully looks at his food as Yoongi leads him out of the large dining room.

"So, do we want to have dessert on the large balcony looking out at the mountain?" Taehyung asks with a bright smile.

"Are we allowed to breathe now?" Namjoon whispers in shock as he looks at Taehyung whose entire demeanor has changed.

"You were allowed to breathe the entire time." Jin softly laughs as Namjoon relaxes.

"The King of Voreion certainly has found himself a commendable future queen." The voice of a woman surprises the group as a female alpha approaches them. "I thought that I would watch this young king remain mateless for the rest of his life." She chuckles as she looks at Jungkook who quickly steps in front of his mate to protect him.

"Who are you?" Yoongi asks when he notices that his small human fearfully hides behind him.

"Ah, do not worry about your little human. I will not harm him." She smiles and waves at the hiding human. "I told you that Voreion was a good place to come to. Was I wrong?" She addresses the small human who quickly shakes his head in response. "And to answer your question, Min Yoongi, I am the guardian that the Moon Goddess sent to watch over these mountains. I am the one who beckoned this young king's ancestors to come and kill the kingdom that once plagued the beautiful mountains. Per the rules, I cannot physically get involved with any of the worldly affairs, but I can influence you for the good of the land I protect." She explains as she looks at the group.

"Why have you appeared before us?" Jungkook asks as he examines her.

"I have come to congratulate the three of you for finding your mates." She smiles as she looks at Jungkook, Namjoon, and Yoongi.

"M-mates?" Jin asks with a bright blush igniting his face.

"Yes, mates." She softly chuckles as Jin quickly looks away from Namjoon. "Also, the seventh and final member of your group will be arriving at dawn. Protect him." She smiles then disappears.

"Seventh member of our group?" Yoongi mutters and looks at the other five. They all shrug then look at the spot where the woman once stood.

"I am guessing that she is the spirit who protects these mountains." Jin mutters as he tries to forget her words about him being Namjoon's mate.

"Jungkook, should I have my guards be on the lookout for the seventh person?" Yoongi asks as he picks up the tired human in his arms.

"Yes. He might be in danger or injured, so we need to make sure that he makes it here safely." Jungkook tells his captain of the royal guard.

"Very well." Yoongi hums. "If I did not have the human to take care of, I would personally be out there on the lookout." Yoongi quietly mutters as he holds the human.

"Then leave him with me. I will watch over him." Taehyung tells Yoongi and opens his arms to hold the tired human.

When Yoongi hands the human to Taehyung, the small human looks at Taehyung in surprise then looks at Yoongi who begins walking away. He quickly whimpers and reaches his hands out to the alpha who is leaving.

"Do not fret, little one. I will be back in the morning." Yoongi softly smiles at the human and waves.

Big tears roll down the small human's face when Yoongi leaves him with the others.
