"I don't know how we're going to pull this off," Kaylee whispered to her bandmate, her voice filled with anxiety.

She stood in front of the mirror in her dressing room, running her fingers through her hair. This was the girl's first time going on tour. She was only performing songs from her newest album: Cosmic Collision. At that specific moment, looking around her, listening to the crowd's voices coming from the stadium, she could feel her heart pounding, beating faster than ever. Kaylee was only 22, and she was new to all of this.

She couldn't believe it. The sensation was surreal. How was she about to perform for 25 000 people? When did that happen? Was there anything that made her special enough to be able to do this?

People obviously liked her art, and they liked her album but she had never interacted with her fans, and she had never played her songs live before.

''What if they hate me, Charlie? What if they realize I'm just a scared useless little girl who doesn't know what she's doing?" She sighed looking over at her guitar player. " I... I can't fucking do this, how do they all do it? The rest of them? I'm supposed to go on stage in ten and I'm having a fucking panic attack"

"Kayles, relax." He replied, "First of all, stop comparing yourself to others, everyone has their own shit going on. You're hilarious if you think artists like you don't react the same way before performing."

"I doubt it" Kaylee exclaimed, sounding more and more pessimistic.

"It's called stage fright, your reaction is perfectly normal. You're gonna kill it, trust me."

"But what if... What I-" she was cut off by the sound of the stage manager's voice over the intercom. "You're on in 5 minutes!"

She stood up reacting quickly.

Charlie stepped towards her, reaching out to fix a strand of brown hair that had fallen across her face. "Kaylee, they're here to see you. They want to see you, remember that."

His words really did make her feel better. He had a way of calming her down. He somehow always had a way of making things better for her.

The two only met a few years ago when Kaylee was just beginning her musical career. They connected pretty fast.

She wouldn't say that Charlie was her best friend but she did  find comfort in him. It's one of these carefree friendships where you don't talk or laugh a lot but you confide in each other, both of them being very loyal and giving.

Kaylee flashed him a smile, mouthing thank you.

"Ready to rock this stage?" Charlie asked with a grin.

Kaylee nodded, her nerves now replaced with excitement. "Let's do this."

This was it.

As the intro music started playing, the excitement in the crowd grew. Kaylee stepped onto the stage and was greeted by a roar of cheers and applause. She smiled, feeling a rush of adrenaline coursing through her veins. This was what she had worked so hard for, and she was determined to give it her all.

As the first notes of the opening song rang out, Kaylee felt herself becoming lost in the music. She closed her eyes and let herself be carried away by the energy of the crowd. This was the moment she had been waiting for, and she was going to make it count.
