It had been two days since the incident with the Urgals and whilst a deer stew was broiling in camp. Ruth was stirring the brew when Eragon awoke. He stirred in the blankets Ruth had put on him for the bleak night. He then pulled the sheets close to himself and with a confused look he then bolted upright with sudden fret. Ruth looked at him, pausing her whisking for a moment, then continued.

-Eragon-

Eragon felt pain shot through his wrist as he tried to move it. He looked up to see Ruth on her knees, leaning over a steel pot which was hung above a fire on a spit. She looked at him then she returned her attention to stirring the stew again then said
"How are you feeling?"

Eragon tried to speak but his throat was so dry he dare not. He stood, stumbled slightly because his body was so sore, then went to the stew pot. The warm smells of the soup teased him. Ruth handed him a bowl and a spoon carved from a small branch, he filled his large bowl and began to eat. The hot stew wet his throat once he felt he could speak again he asked Ruth for his waterskin - which she handed to him along with a generous handful of bread - he then asked

"Ruth, where's Brom?"

"Away"

"Where?"

"Somewhere"

"I would like to know where he is"

"I know but you're going to not like it when he returns anyway" Ruth said with a smug smile

"Why?"

Ruth laughed and shook her head "You'll find out"

Eragon sighed he was bored of her half answering his questions so he decided to explore the camp for a little bit. Ruth watched him but preferred to lean against a nearby oak tree, she stared at the slowly moving, intricately built clouds above. Eragon couldn't blame her for they were most beautiful. He wandered about, hours passed and impatient ran out and he was tired of finding the same things and seeing the same surroundings.

"Is it okay if I explore the surrounding area?" he asked hoping that she would say yes

"Sure but I'm coming with, we don't need you breaking your other wrist"

Eragon sighed, he'd prefer to be alone but Ruth would be able to guide them back to camp when they must return. Ruth stood up, her long, wavy, copper like hair bouncing on her shoulders, her tunic looked blue in the strange lighting even though it was green.

She followed him into the woods; they explored for a long period of time. Eragon guessed it would've been 4 hours. They both grew tired and Eragon rested against a fir tree which leant upon a boulder. Ruth clambered up a small portion of the tree and laid belly side down over Eragon. A small hole filled with water was next to Eragon.

-Ruth-

Eragon stared at the water as though he was contemplating doing something with it. He then closed his eyes and after a few silent minutes he said
"Dramur kópa!" and then gazed at the water. Suddenly the water flattened, all the reflections disappeared. A clear image of Saphira shined through it, her surroundings were white but you could plainly see Brom sitting on her back. His beard streaming and sword on his knees. Eragon soon let the image fade, he leaned his head back and stared up at Ruth

"I'm exhausted" he complained

"Here" Ruth said, she plucked a mushroom off of the tree, she was accustomed to picking wild mushrooms/berries. She knew this one was not poisonous and edible; she threw it down to Eragon who lazily caught it in his lap.

"Is this good to eat?" Eragon slurred

"Yes, enjoy"

In one bite Eragon ate the small fan like fungus.
"Hmm, it tastes bland"
