The Pantheon of Sanctum Sanctorum
—arkyve.I’m a composition of stardust. My existence has always been a discussion and debate as to how a supernova formed a life. The current extent of alchemy believes that I am a buildup of dense particles—special subatomic particles—that cannot be identified by mere human knowledge. I am deemed a foreign profound entity since I’ve descended to Earth. With my special, distinct flairs, I’ve opened another branch of science: Thaumatology. It deals with the vast existence of magic and other magical phenomenon via scientific methods.
I neither know the supreme creator nor the faceless god. But, I can name a few in position. I am no different in physical form; I possess human features, but psychology-wise, I am ahead of them—my ability is way too special and advanced compared to the rest of the mages on Earth, and my capability is beyond the reach of a normal human.
In other words, I’m a magic wielder.
I’ve lived for centuries. I witnessed human civilization and their evolution unfolding intricate concepts and branches of knowledge eligible for human study. Though I’ve marked a quantum leap. I enhanced their abilities by granting them magic. I’ve found a way to spread this special ability, and with my high prowess, I have blessed them these magical features.
“And now, I plan to disappear from this world,” I said. I held the scroll loaded with information about Thaumatology and read it for the last time.
“It is now time to put a transition, Valkyrie.” I looked at her in the eyes. I had seen the language of fear coming out from the buildup of tears beside her eyes. They were communicating well.
“But... Only you possess the authority to rule this world, Master,” she said. I heaved a sigh. The presence of dread kept on coursing aloft.
“I am putting the mankind into service. The 12 Gods will unite to commence a new system aiming for greater good. Let this be known! This is my command, Valkyrie.” I walked to the veranda and breathed the air. I raised my staff and cast, “Ojo de lo divino. Heed my call.”
The gem in my staff emanated a bright yellow light. A wide blue magic circle split the sky, opening a way for a huge object. In a matter of seconds, a huge eye appeared in the sky. I used this spell to view a wider scape of the whole continent.
“I believe this world is ready. Valkyrie, I am assigning you to lead this world on my behalf. And if chaos finds its way to wreck the placidity of this world, search for my child. Her birth is written on a book; it is cryptically prophesied. I am sending you on a life-long quest,” I stated as I gradually disappeared in the thin air.
It was a sudden leave, but I must. This world shall not depend on the power I own. They must learn to live on their own system for humans are destined to conduce their own endeavors.
I wonder... Will they be able to make it?
