I Wish Only the Best for You

"WOAH WHEN WE DID THAT IT WAS ALL LIKE SWOOSH AND BWAAAH AND THEN THE BALL WENT POW AS IT HIT THE FLOOR!!!" Hinata exclaimed happily after completing their first quick attack together. Hiding back a bit of blush on his face.

"Wow..." was all that managed to come out of Daichi's mouth.

"OUR KOHAI IS SO COOL!!!" Yelled Tanaka.

"SUGOIII!!! I KNOW I CANT WAIT TO BRAG ABOUT THEM!!!" Yell Nishinoya just as enthusiastically.

Everyone else was too stunned. They have never seen such a move up close.

"Looks like we have a good team this year!" Were words that Sugawara uttered.

The two made it on the team and continued to practice with them. They had so much fun and time seemed to just fly by. Once practice was over, Hinata invited Kageyama to come with him to buy meat buns.

"Hey Bakayama! If I beat you there you have to buy my meat buns!!!" Hinata yelled back to his raven haired friend. Trying to avoid eye contact so he doesn't start blushing. He believes it would be embarrassing for Kageyama to figure out like that.

"Oh you're so on boke!!" Kageyama says to Hinata with a smirk playing onto his face. And with that, their race began. It ended in Hinata winning and Kageyama going broke. The two continued to hang out like this for many days. They did everything they could. They went to the mall together, to bakeries, arcades, the park, and even to the movies. Days turned into months and soon they were inseparable. They did things that most couples would do. They were touchy with each other and they were also flirty with each other.

Shoyo had been forming feelings for his raven haired friend but he had no clue how to tell him. He decided that at their next training camp he would confess and with how much time they were spending together, he thought that his feeling would be returned.

Their next training camp would be in Tokyo and you could practically see stars in Hinata's eyes. He was bubbling with excitement and a bit of nervousness. He remembered that this would be his time to tell Kageyama how he feels and he could only hope that he felt the same.

When they got off the bus Hinata immediately ran to his best friend. "KENMA!!" Exclaimed the overly happy ginger.

"Shoyo!" Exclaimed the pudding haired boy. The two continued to talk and Shoyo began explaining his plan to confess to Kageyama. Kenma didn't seem on board with the plan. Somewhat like he knew something that he didn't. He shrugged it off and continued with his plan. No matter what Kenma knew, he was always on board with Shoyo.

"Do you think you could help me with that Kenma?"

"I'll try my best Shoyo."

"OI CHIBI CHAN!" Yelled out a familiar voice.

"Eh? Oh KUROO SAN!!" Yelled the tangerine to his rooster headed friend.

Hinata spent most of the time catching up with everyone. Everyone is a good friend of Hinata's, he does have a very likable personality. However he spotted someone that he hasn't seen before. He walks over to him and introduces himself.

"Hello! I'm Hinata Shoyo!" Hinata says once he reaches them. He catches them pulling up their mask higher.

"Uhm hello." Said the person whom Hinata was talking to.

"What is your name?" Hinata asks since he wasn't told.

"Sakusa Kyoomi." The person who is now known as Sakusa says.

"Nice to meet you Sakusa!" And Hinata puts his hand out for a handshake but it wasn't reciprocated. Hinata just stood there with his hand out while waiting. Sakusa finally gave in and grabbed a tissue. He used the tissue to shake Hinata's hand. "...eh?" Hinata asks.

"It's nothing personal. It's a phobia of mine." Sakusa responds to Hinata.

"What phobia do you have? I will try my best to make sure you feel comfortable!" Shoyo said with a look of resolve on his face.

"Umm okay. I have germaphobia." Sakusa responds somewhat monotonously.

"EH??? I'm sorry am I too close???" Hinata says, suddenly worried if he was making Sakusa uncomfortable.

"I don't really mind you being that close. It's fine." Sakusa says while smiling under his mask.

Says go by and Sakusa and Hinata start to become friends. They spend a lot of time together. They hang out in the dorms, play against each other for fun in the court, eat together in the lunch room, and they even take walks and go to local hangout spots together wanting to spend as much time together as they could before the end of the camp.

Sakusa was slowly beginning to build feelings for Hinata. Hinata was the only one who he felt safe around and the only one who didn't feel dirty. Sakusa didn't mind being close to Hinata or making physical contact like hugs. In the end, not everything goes good for everyone. Just like now. Even if Hinata and Sakusa do spend a lot of time together, Hinata still has feelings for Kageyama.

Today is the day. Today is the day Hinata is going to ask out Kageyama. He gets ready for the day and starts looking for Kageyama. However he regrets it. When he finds Kageyama he is gossiping with someone about Hinata. Hinata looked distraught and hurt. His volleyball partner and crush was badmouthing him to someone. He, however, couldn't see who. With that, Shoyo ran. He didn't know where to but he ran.

Hinata finally ran into Kenma. "Kenma!" Shoyo called out. The distress was clear as day in his voice and his eyes were red and puffy.

"SHOYO! What's wrong???" Kenma asked worried. Hinata looked at him doing some motions when he realized what happened. "You... found out...?" Kenma says sadly. Shoyo nods his head but suddenly looks up at Kenma.

"Did... did you know about.... this...?" Shoyo asked. Kenma only nodded and that cause Shoyo to break down more. In between sobs Shoyo manages to ask, "who has he been saying all these things to?"

"He's been telling them to anyone who listens." Kenma responds truthfully.

With Kageyama he is still talking with said person. "He's so annoying. He's too hyper all the time and he thinks that the world revolves around him." He is currently taking to the man that we met earlier who was, and still is, wearing a mask. "He's also so selfish and never cares about how others are feeling l. I honestly can't stand him."

Suddenly Kageyama felt something hit the side of his face with so much force that he was thrown back a bit.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR" Karasuno's number 9 yells.

"I suggest you think before you talk. Also make sure the person you are talking to is your targeted audience." Sakusa says while only feeling the slightest disgust while hitting him. Once he left he felt all that disgust come back to him all at once. "Ew. I can not believe that I touched him" muttered the germaphobe.

Even with all of this happening, Hinata couldn't get over Kageyama. So he is forced to watch from afar.

Hinata watches the one he kings to be with from afar thinking that no one would ever look at him like how he is looking at the man in front of him. Little does he know that he has a secret admirer of his on. Looking on from afar, knowing that he will never be the one that Hinata loves.

"While I may not be the one you love. I wish you the best in the rest of your life. The happy ending that I have always heard of, I guess it's just not for me. Thank you for getting myself out of my comfort zone Hinata. I will forever cherish the time we spent together. I wish you and whoever you spend your life with nothing but the best. I wish you this because I know that even if I don't have you, the world will still rotate. This is not the end but instead a new beginning. Goodbye Hinata Shoyo. While you may not know it, I love you." And with those final words, Sakusa walked away.

They rarely saw each other over the years, soon becoming estranged with each other becoming somewhat like strangers. Well only one forgot. The other could never forget the love of his life. Even if they did not and know that they never will return the feelings.
