Walk of Shame

"Sophie, apat na oras ako naghintay sayo dito. Akala ko napano ka na. Pero nag Café Amore ka lang pala? " Gabby was fuming. He turned away from her and started to leave.

"But Gabby! Let me explain!" Sophie ran after Gabby and touch Gabby's arm. He yanked it away and looked at her.

"Hindi mo kasi naiintindihan. Alam ko ilang ka sa akin after sinabi ko sayo yung nararamdaman ko pero inintindi kita. Kaya hinayaan kita, binigyan kita ng space para hindi mo isipin na pinagsasamantalahan ko ang pagkakaibgan natin. " Sophie could see the hurt in her best boy bud's face. "Hindi ko naman pinagpipilitan na mahalin mo rin ako, Sophie. Di mo naman ako kailangan ipagtulakan, o iwasan na parang may nakakamatay na sakit. Hindi naman ako bobo para hindi ma gets na nandidiri ka sa mga nalaman mo!"

"Gabby no! You don't understand."

"Pero project toh ,Sophie. You're not taking this case study serious. Unlike you, wala akong pamana galing sa pamilya ko. I have to work extra hard para maka kuha ng mga scholarship para makapasok ng college. " Gabby continued. Then left Sophie in the shop. "Umuwi ka na Sophie. Mang Dante, ready na pong umuwi si Sophie. Sige po!"

Sophie felt a pang of guilt in her heart. She was so insensitive she didn't know she was making Gabby think na nandidiri siya sa kanya. She was so self centered, di man lang niya iniisip na Gabby was serious about their case study. Sa sobra niyang kaka overthink sa situation, she was acting so relentlessly. She realized how this case study meant so much for Gabby pero she didn't take it seriously.

The bags under my eyes are Prada ang dating na.  Sophie wasn't able to sleep well all night. Laging nag flaflashback sa mind niya yung mga sinabi ni Gabby sa kanya.

"Tsk, Tsk , Tsk... well on the bright side at least you cousin is okay. You just need to explain your side to Gabby. Don't worry bestie, he'll understand. " Aimee consoled Sophie. Pero alam ni Sophie na talagang she really hurt Gabby.

Gabby did not come in to class  sa first 3 period ng class nila. Nagwonder si Sophie why he didn't come to class. It was so unlike him, he always comes to class regardless how he feels.

The whole time Sophie was so bothered. Is Gabby so pissed off he decided not to come to class.

OA Sophie ha.. ikaw nalang talaga pagaabsentan ni Gabby? wag kang feelingera, kaya ka na papa-trouble sa pagka assuming mo!  Sophie reminded herself.

Then Sophie felt Aimee's elbow. sinisiko siya.

Before she could say anything, Gabby passed her like he did not see her.

"Confirmed. Galit parin siya sayo, bestie. " Aimee added.

Sa last period ng class nila. Pinatawag sila ng adviser nila sa case study.

"Mr. Luna, Ms. Cepede, i'd like to commend you on this case study. Very well done yung mga changes. Madaming nabago, mas more professionally done siya. Well job. You have exceeded my expectations. " the adviser said.

Then Sophie realized that the reason why Gabby didn't show up in class kasi he did all the work himself. :( It just made feel Sophie so guilty and so useless. She wanted to crawl inside the cave and hide.

"Both of you worked such a good team. Congratulations in advance."

"Miss, I have to tell you something.." Sophie started. sasabihin niya na sana na she did not do a thing sa group project nila ni Gabby.

"It was a team effort miss. I wouldn't have done it without Sophie." Gabby smiled.

Sophie and Gabby walked out of the room. Sophie felt like she was walking in the walk of shame, and si Gabby lang may nakaka alam.

"Listen Gabby, I'm so so sorry sa lahat. I'm such a bad friend, group partner..-"

"I'm just glad its all done now Sophie. " Gabby answered calmly.

"But you need to hear my explanation."

"Ok na.. Antok at gutom na ako Sophie. Mauna muna ako ha?"  Gabby gave her a pat and left.

So ganon nalang?Galit siya kanina.. ngayon parang wala na?? Sophie wondered.
