I stared at the small little dirt particles on the surface of the soil, scattered all over the ground in different shapes and sizes yet none bigger than a centimetre. I laid on my belly on the hard ground with my cheek pressed against the earth. My body still and motionless while I thought of my dignity being thrown out the window.

I exhaled out a long distasteful breath, blowing away the long strand of hair that interrupted my view, yet it resulted in some of the dirt to fly away.

My pride of being the feared assassin of the Ryu is now being trampled over by a medieval knight in armour. All my years of practicing all sorts of martial arts and the amount of people I have beaten single handily, be it blind folded or unarmed is now worth nothing as I feel humiliated and worthless while I lay on the earth and mentally cry to myself.

The humiliation I feel right now can't be described.

The people I have killed must be laughing at me right now as they look up or down at me.

It's already giving me second thoughts on pretending to be some newbie who knows nothing about fighting nor wielding a sword so that I could pass on as Diana without having any suspicion being raised.

To my unfortunate luck, the knights that had gathered to see what the Isvandy of Aureum was doing training under Sir Aillard had begun to talk among each other. Not even bothering to hide the fact that they are loud enough for the whole mansion to hear.

"I don't understand why Sir Aillard is trying to train this good for nothing?"

"A woman being a knight." One had scoffed. "Might as well have the knights wear gowns and weave handkerchiefs" the same knight had mocked again with a ridiculed chuckle before scowling bitterly.

"Tch. This is just making the Knights of the Glacies seem like nothing but fools. A laughingstock we must be to everyone else in the empire right now."

"I bet all your salary for the month that she will quit within this week."

Assholes. I mentally rolled my eyes.

I was just tempted to forget all this knight training and just reveal my true skills and show these dimwits what someone like me can really do to boys like them, but that idea just slipped away just like it came when I heard familiar footsteps approach me.

"My lady are you alright?" Aillard had bent down, his concerned gaze eyeing me down as he threw more of his worried questions at me. "Is the first training session a bit too rough? Do you need me to go a little easy on you before you get the hang of it?"

Like an arrow that hit its target, Aillard had hit his mark on me.

Weak.

Useless.

Fragile.

Needs attention.

And all the other synonyms that come under weak, were all arrows that had hit straight through me and bled me out.
