Lara didn't know where she was or who she was. The only thing she knew was that she was now floating in the pit of darkness. Her memories were hazy. She looked around in the hope she'll find anything that would give her a glimpse of hope or understanding of what was happening.

After a while, she saw what she yearned for. It was a glimpse of light. She could see colors and hear voices from there. A new unknown mass started to suck her in. Lara curled up ... and then she was finally able to breathe. She opened her eyes and blinked.

She was now in a green yard. On the nearest bench, she saw a woman singing a lullaby while hugging her small child. But.. that little girl wasn't her. She didn't understand why she saw somebody else memories. Lara wasn't able to think of it anymore because her vision suddenly shuffled to another place.

She looked around. She was now at a birthday party. There was an unknown name on the billboard above the previously seen little girl.

" Happy birthday Emily"

So.. that girl's name was Emily. Lara looked closer at her. Emily had brown eyes and black hair. She was now blowing out the candles. Everyone started clapping.

And the same thing happened again. Her vision blurred, and new memory popped out. It was a really boring and monotonous experience. It felt like an eternity to look at all those memories nonstop

After a while, Lara noticed that Amily started growing up. The previously maybe a 5-year-old was now 19 years old.

Her appearance and style completely changed. She had now short bright pink hair instead of long brown hair. The sweet light dress became revealing tops and short skirts. Alongside that, the girl was now wearing bright long nails and strong makeup.

Lara was shocked. How can someone not have a taste at all? Everything looked horrible and nothing matched. What was worse her character didn't help at all. Emily acted spoiled and rude. It was probably an influence of her friends and a boyfriend. But her parents were also to blame. They were busy all the time and couldn't raise their daughter well. Actually, Lara as Kates's secretary met with them at least a few times.

 Lara sighed. Emily was now downing a bottle of strong alcohol in front of her. It wasn't strange that a moment later while drunk walking she tripped and fell. She passed out.  No more memories showed up and Lara was once again left in the pit of darkness.

"So this is how she died... but is that the end? Why did I have to watch it if I were going to be left here again?"

A moment later an answer to her question showed up. A strange light appeared in the mid of the darkness. It was different from the last one, that one was peaceful and it didn't suck her in right away. Lara having nothing to lose decided to flow in that direction.

She opened her eyes. Then blinked.

'What's going on?'

She whispered. Even though she was now looking at herself her hands and body looked different and unfamiliar. She tried sitting up and a pile of pink hair got in her eyes. It looked exactly like Emily's hair. It seems like she was still hallucinating about that girl. But it wasn't one of her memories like earlier. She had become Emily. And her memory came back as well. She couldn't understand what was happening right now but remembering the accident she got in made her feel relieved now. She survived and that's all that mattered right now to her. She took a long breath. She is alive. Maybe she's still hallucinating but it will go away soon.

She rubbed her eyes but the pink hair didn't go away. She stand up and walked to the mirror in the bathroom. She touched her face... no, Emily's face?

 "No way... Did I become her? So.., that's why I dreamed of her?"

She whispered. Did her soul unconsciously found a new body after the car accident or did she switch bodies with the girl? Is Emily in her body right now? She walked out of the bathroom and searched for Emily's phone. She knew the password. She opened the news report and read the first headline.

~ The day of accident~

Kate slowly woke up. She was cold. She reached her hand in the direction her lover should be at. She shut her eyes open when she felt that Lara wasn't there. She looked around their room while panicking.

 " Where is she? Did she leave me? No, it can't be... Maybe she went downstairs to cook us something. "

 Kate started to calm down at her own explanation.  She took one more calming breath and trying to look as natural as possible she slowly went downstairs.

" Honey, where are you? Did you want to make us some breakfast? That's so sweet of you I.."

She stopped in the middle of her sentence when she saw that no one was in the kitchen. Anger started rushing through her veins. With nowhere left to go it circled around making her even more furious. She rushed to her phone and called Lara. The seconds that were filled with her not answering made Kate anxious and furious.

Finally from the other line, Kate heard the voice of her beloved.

She then attacked her with questions. After hearing her excuses she immediately knew she was lying. But why? She decided to find it out herself later and act like she believed those lies sipping from her rosy kissable lips now. Fuckkk .. she shouldn't think of that right now.

 The call ended and now in much calmer steps, she began to climb upstairs. She open the laptop that was on the desk in their room. She then sat down and logged in. She opened the secured file. It was a map with a red dot moving on it. It showed Lara's location. The direction she was driving in wasn't a supermarket at all. It looked like she was going to a nearby gallery. But why? The only thing there were shops with clothes, jewelry stores and...

Then Kate realized. In two weeks they will have their 15th anniversary. Lara probably wanted to buy something for her. Awww... that's so sweet of her. Kate felt butterflies in her stomach. She was worried for nothing. She was now going to close her laptop when she suddenly saw that the red dot started blinking. Kate began to stare at it in the hope it will return to normal but it didn't. It just disappeared completely.

She started breathing heavily. Tiers formed in her eyes. Something bad happened to Lara.

"Is she dead? No, she can't be, she must have just dropped her phone with a chip on the ground and it disconnected."

Kate was panicked and in tears lying to herself trying to give herself even a little hope.

~~~
Kate was now speeding not caring for anything. She was driving to the location where Lara was last located. She turned around the corner almost crushing to another car next to her but she didn't care. Somewhere here will be her love, her sun, the love of her life.
She then heard the sounds of a siren. Panic took completely over her as she pressed the pedal even more and took the next turn. Only to see a violet car shattered on the ground. It felt like her heart was the one that shattered, because if it wasn't why would her heart ache so badly?
 Her vision started blurring as she started shoving people aside to come to her lover. She kneeled on the ground, pieces of glass ripping the skin on her knees. She pulled the door open and stopped. In front of her was Lara's body covered in blood siping from pieces of glass that stabbed her. With her trembling hands, she pulled her out.
 Her body was cold. Too cold." No, no no.." she started repeating while swinging her love in her arms
