Another soul

Chapter 6

Two days after Lara's graduation. Lara tried to convince Emily's mother for the past few days to let her meet with Kate. She stated that they know she knows the field of work really well and that it would bring them only benefits. She was desperate on meeting her wife since she couldn't contact her any other way. She called her numerical times but she never picked up. It was predictable since if the caller wasn't in her contacts Kate simply ignored it thinking it was some spam. Lara also tried to call her brother but the situation repeated. 

She knows that she also couldn't meet them in person since they would think she was paparazzi, crazy, or something worse and would call the police. This was the best option she could choose - to arrange the meeting. It was two months after her death so they probably ended mourners and will slowly start to go on with their work. 

" Mom, you know I have skills and my judges are never wrong. We should really try to talk with DV company about a partnership. You just have to arrange the meeting I'll do the rest. " 

"Okay. I will try to talk to your father about it. I think he will agree since thanks to you we ranked seven places higher than 2 months ago. He will accomplish your efforts and do his best.

" Thanks, Mom, I really appreciate that. "

 Lara was happy. She planned for months what to tell her lover. She decided to try to prove her identity by telling about little unimportant things that no one would spy about. She will also bring in their relationship first, her thoughts and feelings. It should work. Lara got to her room and sat at the desk. Just as she was going to take care of her work her phone rang it was Eve.

" Hi, Lara! How are you doing?

 "Good. I was just going to work a little. And you ?"

"I'm getting ready for the graduation party. You didn't forget about it, did you? I heard you're quite busy right now." 

Eve seemed worried. Lara cursed under her breath. How could she forget about it? She quickly excused her friend and started getting ready to go out. She didn't really want to go but Eve pressed her about it so she agreed. She looked at her newly bought green dress. Last week she hung up with Eve and the girl chose this dress for Lara. It was really pretty and looked excellent with the silver jewelry she wanted to wear tonight.

After putting on little makeup Lara left the mansion. She got in the taxi and drove to the class meeting. She didn't know anyone besides Eve and her exes but she wasn't scared. She only has to watch out to not drink too much since she doesn't know very well Emily's alcohol tolerance. Lara got to the meeting and searched for Eve. When she found her both of them sat down and started talking over some drinks. It wasn't that long when Lara lost the trick of drinks she gulped down. Yes, it was stupid but it seems that this body remembered old times and lost control.

Hiccup~

" Fuckkk... why is the world spinning?"

"Lara you drank too much. Let's get out of here. I thought that you would control yourself as a responsible person." Kate wasn't drunk at all since she was the driver.

" But I have to celebrate. I'm going to meet my love soon. Isn't that right sweetie?" 

Lara was clearly too drunk to recognize that the person in Infront of her wasn't her wife but her new friend. She pulled Kate closer to herself and hugged her just like she often did with Kate. She dropped the weight of her body on Kate's shoulder and started to kiss her neck. 

" Did you change your perfumes my ~ hiccup ~love ?" 

"Stop it" 

Eve helped her stand up and pulled her out of the club. She was red as a tomato even though she didn't drink even a bit. They got in the car and drove off. Lara was peacefully sleeping in the backseat.

Eve decided that she can't let Lara's parents see their daughter in such a state so she drove to her apartment. She carefully pulled her friend out and stayed her in her little bedroom. It was neatly arranged. 

Ughh~

"Why is it so hot here?" 

Lara stated and started stripping down her clothes. 

" No, stop it! " 

Eve tried to prevent her from undressing herself. And then her heart stopped for a second a she got pulled by Lara and given a kiss on her lips. Red as a tomato Eve was suprised by her friend's behavior. What shocked her, even more, was something Lara said a little later. 

' Baby lets go to bed I'm sleepy.."

She gulped down. Why did it send that these words weren't made for her? It felt like Lara just confused her with someone else. After putting her drunk friend to bed Eve went to  the shower to clear her thoughts. It was too much.

"Ugh, my head feels like it's about to burst!" 

Lara started complaining as soon as she woke up. She then froze at the realization of her doing the other night. Fuckkk... she kissed Eve by confusing her with Kate. 

" I've never than it before. Is that equal cheating? Or maybe..." 

Lara was panicking and her mind was a mess. " It's nothing much. I was drunk and nothing more happened so it should be alright. I will simply tell Kate about it and she will forgive me. She will understand that it was an accident. Yeah, it's going to be okay. Lara finally calmed down.
