Another soul

Chapter 7

Lara couldn't stay in place. She was trashing over her seat. She was nervous since she was going to meet her wife. She once again repeated what she will tell her. The car stopped and she got out. Lara went through the main door. It felt like ages since she had been here. Some new girl she didn't recognise came to her and offered to guide her to their boss's office. She politely declined and went away since she knew the path really well. She got in an elevator. When the door opened she walked out of it and immediately she meet Kate's bodyguards. She smiled at them and handed them coffee. They were confused.

" Hi Mark, Hi Dominik. I brought over your favourite coffee. I hope you will enjoy it. " 

Lara said and walked past them. She knocked on the door and after hearing"

 "Come in" 

She walked in. There she was. Stunning as always. She looked a little paler and had dark circles under her eyes but it didn't make her any less beautiful. She looked at Lara with cold eyes. 

" I heard you wanted to talk about the partnership. Sit down, please."

 Kate said while pointing at the empty seat in front of her. Lara sat down. She took a deep breath in before she started talking.

" Hi, darling. I missed you so much since the accident. I'm sorry I didn't contact you sooner. I will make it out for you later. But it's not the most important right now. You were always straightforward and believed in clear facts. That's why I want you to ask me five questions. If I won't answer them I will go out on my own. You can ask anything I should know." 

" Excuse me? I think you..."

" No honey. I'm your wife, Lara. Ask me questions. If I'm lying you will find out and kick me out. If I'm not then you will get back your lover. Go on, ask questions."

Kate sighed she looked tired. She didn't believe her at all. But she was right. She didn't have anything to lose so she could try anyway." What do I like?"

" Oh, that's quite easy. You like teas as much as u do. Your favourite ones are green and mine are white teas. You like to take baths with me. You don't really like showers neither do I. We often use bath bombs to make some bubbles. I love bubbles it's so cosy when they're there. You like to wear matching clothes with me. You always try to dress similarly to me, I always loved that in you. My favourite matching set is the bloody red flower one. The dress you wear then to match me suits you so much. You like flowers, peonies the most, that's why I often bought you them on your birthday. You like the smell of them. You once told me they smell like me. You also like.." 

"Stop. It's too easy. You must have paid quite much to get this information since they're so accurate. But it won't be that easy. Tell me about mines favourite species. Tell me about my favourite shoes. Tell me about my favourite trip. Can you do that? You probably fucking can't bitch! Only Lara would know about it and she's gone, fucking gone and you want me to suffer again just because you want to play with my feelings!"

Kate was slowly losing her mind thinking about Lara. She started shaking.

" Your favourite species is basil, you love the taste of it and always put it in our dishes. Your favourite shoes are the white ones at the low hill. I have matching ones. We don't were them often to not dirt them. Your favourite trip was to Cyprus where you proposed to me. You made that trip perfect. I really loved it. Now, calm down love. I'm here and alive" 

Lara gently pulled her closer and hugged her.

She was calming her down while Kate was crying hugging her tight.
