As the sun goes down and darkness nears,
It illuminates my darkest fears,
My sight restrained yet I still can see,
My shattered dreams and fallen tears.
A valley hushed, silence profound,
No voice is heard yet there is a sound,
A void so loud it's deafening,
I hear them scream, my terrors abound.
My body numbed I feel them still,
Their piercing gaze, a freezing chill,
For although I feel I'm paralyzed,
I feel their rage, intent to kill.
An odorless gust bellows here,
Their pungent stench fills up the air,
My sense of smell begins to fade,
Their unpleasant fetor still ever clear.
