chapter 2

i woke up the next morning to bae standing over me "wanna go swimming" "umm sure" i replied as i rubbed the sleep from my eyes "did papa say it was ok" i asked bae as he put his shoes on in my room "yeah he said it's ok we just need to be careful because of the ships" bae told me "ok cool let me just get dressed" i said as he walked out of my room, i put on my lavender dress left my hair down.

i walked out of my room to find papa and bae in the living room walking about straw "i just need to deliver this batch of straw so you two go to the port and be careful of the boats" papa told us "we will papa" i said as i ran out the front door with bae behind me. the weather has just started to get warm again... oh how i love the summer, everything great happens in summer. papa has more people he needs to sell straw to so we get to travel along with him and we get to see different towns and i get to make new friends.

once we got to the port we saw some of the kids that also live in our village. "hey" i said to one of the girls that was 2 years younger than me. she has short black hair and brown eyes, we were complete opposites; she liked to bake and clean but i liked to read and go adventuring so you'd imagine seeing her here was quite a shock "your not cleaning no?" i teased her "not today" she chuckled in return 'atleast she can take a joke' i thought to myself "come on rose get in" bar shouted at me from the water "ok one sec-" i said as i took my lavender dress of and left only my undergarments on, which is the usual thing to do so it wasn't weird or anything because what else would we swim in.. clothes?.

i was about to jump in when i looked to the right and saw captain hooks ship the jolly roger "quiet a eye sore huh" i shouted down to bae and he just laughed in return. i dived into the water that was nice and cool 'hmm refreshing' i thought to myself "let's play a game" one of the older boys suggested "like what" i said as i struggled to get my long blonde curls out of my face when i felt someone go in between my legs and pick me up "bae!" i screeched "chicken let's play chicken" bae said "haha yes!" the older boys said "no way not fair they will kill me" i laughed "ah come on we won't hurt ya princess" a boy with light brown hair and glistening green eyes said "fine" i chuckled as bae moved forward and the boy and i started to try and push each other off.

the older boy who's name i found out to be dylan won- sadly. i took my loss hard as i swam around the port. i always loved the water my mother and father always had a hard time trying to keep me out of it as a child.

i help my breath and dunked my head under. i opened my eyes and all of a sudden the world, was quiet

it felt like all my worries and fears had been washed off and i was a complete new person. i ran out of breath and came up from under the water and swam over to bae "where's papa, it's been ages" "i'm not sure ro" ah there it is the nickname he gives me when he's around his friends to make me seem littler than him "it's rose and i might check at home quick to see if he's alright" "ok be careful" i nodded my head and gracefully lifted myself out of the water of the a rock and up to the pathway.

i started the treck back home and saw my mother in the tavern.. again 'god she never stops drinking' i thought as i shook my head and walked faster. once i returned home i called out for papa but saw a note on the table saying that he went to the fields to gather more straw.

i left again at set on my way back to the port, i must've looked ridiculous to the pirates in town walking around in my undergarments like a wench, but i didn't care i just kept walking to the port.

when i got to the port they cheered seeing i was back i played along "oh stop it" i laughed at waved like a queen "bow down to me each and every one of you" i said as i placed a hand on my hip and stood in a confident stance, and they all obeyed i broke out into laughter as did everyone else.

i jumped back in and swam a little more and as i was swimming i bumped into dylan "oh i-i'm sorry" i laughed turning a little red "it's ok rose.. oh i forogt to say happy belated birthday... how does it feel to be a teenager" "ha! better than ever" i said sarcastically "your mother i presume? i heard what happened in the tavern" he told me "it's fine and yeah she's a wench anyway i do not care for her.. she simply isn't my mother anymore she left me she is just milah" i shrugged my shoulders, he just laughed in return. i looked up at the captains ship and saw captain hook staring over at us from the deck of his ship, dylan followed my gaze "ah the captain hook he all mighty" dylan laughed "shhh i heard if you say his name twice he cuts of your hand so your matching with him" i said sarcastically while laughing dylan just laughed as he turned to see his mother calling him home for dinner "sorry rose gotta go" i said as he got out of the water "bye Dylan goodnight" "goodnight" he said as he bowed at me and i just laughed.

i swam around for another hour and went over to bae "we should get home" "yeah let's go" he said as he jumped up to the pathway and gave me a hand up "don't forget your dress" "i won't" i said picking up my dress

"some of the boys have said so much about you being grown.. they said you look like a young woman now" bae said quite annoyed "really" i said laughing "yeah it's quite annoying.. so can you maybe not grow up" he laughed along with me "no promised bae" i said back go him "lords im so hungry" i said as i placed a hand on my stomach "same i'm famished"

once we returned home we saw father cooking dinner "how does stew sound?" father asked "sounds amazing papa" i said as i walked over and kissed him on the cheek "go change the pair of ye are sopping wet" papa chuckled, and that is what we did.

i changed out of my wet undergarments and put on a new pair along with my lavender dress, i brushed through my blonde hair as papa called us for dinner

we finished up dinner and we helped papa clean up "there is a lot more cleaning to be done now that mother is gone" bae said "yes but we can do it together" father said confidently i just sighed and smiled at them as i walked off into my room and turned in for the night

||*. what the heck 2 chapters in 1 day.. this isn't like me quick someone call the hospital. i'm gonna try and get a chapter up tomorrow idk how time will work out tho sooooo yeah hope y'all are well
