*thump thump*

It hurts, it hurts! We ran fast, so fast it hurt.

Emma shouted up front, we all didn't want to slow down.

"Come on guys! It's like-"

Emma's shallow breaths stopped her as she ran.

"It's just like a game of tag!"

We held fear, nausea and anxiety but we knew what was left of this world was terrifying and disturbing, our bravery by far being stronger then all emotions we had.

It felt weird like I was having some sort of half lucid dream.

The sirens in the background was nearly fading and the moonlight was lifting into a soft rosy dawn.

Sometimes what I recall of those days come to me in fragments but the whole experience is something quite difficult yet easy to remember.

I remember the warmth of my siblings and the way there faces contorted into ones of happiness while tears ran down there cheeks.

I opened the front door, my platforms clacked on the concrete floor.

"Oh, you're taking out the trash?" Gilda asked looking up from her phone.

"Uh yea, it's kinda heavy but I'm okay."

"Hm, so you're saying I'm weak?" Gilda responded slightly annoyed.

"No no I just wanted to be nice okay, please don't get mad Gilda." I responded hesitantly.

The truth is this would definitely be quite too heavy for Gilda even though taking out trash is her duty.

I returned back inside and went into my room. I sat on my carpet in front of the table with my separated bundles of papers. I was making invitation letters for Nalia's birthday.

Ray had ran to the store and got me all these things, though I don't get to see him as often as I've had my entire life. I now live in a medium two bedroom apartment with Gilda and Emma.

Originally Emma was going to help me buy and make these but her work called her to come in and Ray ended up getting me all this stuff.

I grabbed my glue stick and put the small scraps together into the card.

Gilda comes and sits down in front of me.

"I'm finally done with the online work, I can help you gets these cards done and ready for Nalia."

"You think she'd like this?" I uncover my hand from the invitation card I had just finished.

"Oh! It's so cute! She'd so love it!" She grabs it and opens it. The small giraffe I had made pops up.

"Ah! It's a pop up card?! That's even better y/n!"

"Thankyou, because I wasn't really sure if I should have made it pop up or a standard normal card. I mean she is thirteen now so I'm not sure if these animal pop up cards are really her type of thing anymore."
