Chapter 2
I am standing in the middle of the gorgeous marble hall and I see many faces I recognize, but I don't know them all personally. There's a stage at the end with a local band playing. There are two grand staircases that leads to another floor, at the bottom of the staircase there's a sign saying Way To Auction starts 8:30 p.m.. I looked at the watch it is only quarter to seven. Hanging from the two staircases is a banner which reads, The Children In Need, the subtitle is, Help A Child. Save A Life.
Joanne is being called by her mother. She walks up to her with her head held high, she looks professional, I copy her so I don't look out of place. Her mother is talking to five very handsome boys. Boys that look too familiar, too known. All five of them wore a black suit with a tie and I could see Joanne eye-raping the one with a quiff. She has had a crush on him since the X Factor days. "True love never dies," as she always tells me.
I couldn't concentrate on just one. I had them to thank for, they were the ones who helped me through everything, especially my parents' divorce. They were the ones who were there for me when no one else was — not even my parents. I shudder at the thought of my parents.
"Hello Ms Evans." I say politely, but my head's racing with thoughts about these boys who are right in front of me.
"Hello dear," She replies.
"Joanne, Casey, I'd like you to meet the boys of the famous boy-band One Direction."
Joann and I are awestruck. I can't breathe. How do I ever repay them?
"Hello, I'm Harry," He says with his deep husky British accent. He shakes our hand.
"I'm Liam,"
"I'm Niall," I always loved him, I mean he is such a cute Irish cupcake.
"I'm Zayn," I look over to Joanne, you can literally see the love and adoration in her eyes. For a brief moment their eyes are held in place before he looks away.
"And I'm Louis," He says finally.
Joanne's mom is the organizer of this event and goes on stage, gets everyone's attention and thanks a bunch of people and sponsors et cetera.
Finally she says, "One Direction has helped us in a big way in helping children around the world. By promoting Red Nose Day they have come out with their new single One Way Or Another. They decided to make the video themselves in order to save money and donate it to charity. They even visited the children of Ghana. It truly is touching to see such young people take an interest and see the importance of this. Anyway here is One Direction with their hit single One Way Or Another."
"One way or another," Harry starts. I push my way through the crowd and I stand right in front swaying with the music. Joanne finally comes behind me, shouting the lyrics and jumping, absolutely and thoroughly enjoying herself.
"Let go a little!" She yells at me over the music, indicating me to jump and scream like she is. I obediently listen to her, and I finally enjoy life to the fullest, something I've only felt when I was a small child.
After the song was over I turn around and bump into a tall, thin figure. Her beautiful blond locks are tied into a high ponytail. Her white flowy dress fit to perfection. "S-sorry Caitlin." I say as I ran, literally ran away from her and bumped into the familiar face of Louis, dropping champagne on the gorgeous Persian carpet that held a beautiful antique glass table with drinks and food.
"Crap," I mutter.
"Don't worry Love, you can hardly see it," He winks. I smile. He walks away to the other boys. He says something and they all look at me. I turn around only to be greeted by the monster...again.
