Y/n L/n was quirkless.

She grew up modestly, though she was never in poverty.

Her best friend since birth, Tenya Iida, had just given her the news-

He was going to UA highschool.

" YOU GOT INTO UA? " Y/n shrieked, flinching when she remembered she was in a cafe. Tenya quickly murmured an apology to no-one in particular. " Hush, Y/n! " He whisper-shouted, furrowing his eyebrows. " You will never silence my voice, fiend!" She said, pointing an imaginary sword at her friend. Tenya sighed. " You should be grateful I've put up with your shenanigans for sixteen years, N/n. " ( nickname ) You giggled. " Shenaanigans? What shenanigans have I ever gotten into? " He stared. " Climbing on a roof of.. someones house to try and get Pro Hero Hawks' attention, "

" Putting cat treats into your fish bowl so your cat would eat the fish after you mother didn't let you name your brand new beta fish ' I worship Ryan Reynolds ' When you were 12. "

Tenya continued to list your other foolish acts over the years, but you tuned him out. You were overthinking, like you always did.

Is he gonna abandon me for all his new cool quirky friends?

Will he forget about me?

Does he hate me, or do I need to go to sleep?

..The latter, I hope.

" Y/n. Y/n! "

You were snapped out of your trance by Tenya's voice. " Oh, sorry, I was spacing out. " You chuckled. Tenya shook his head dismissively, chopping his hand in thr air. " Its fine! "

" Anywho, when does the first term of UA start? " a k w a r d s i l e n c e.

" It already started. " Said Tenya. " O h. How long ago? "

" A week. "

" A WEEK? "

\__Two Days Later__/

Y/n was holding onto Tenya's sleeve as they walked, towards a familiar park in hosu. There was a group of people near the left corner next to the street, all with strange hair colors. " Is that them Tenya, is that them? " Y/n shrieked in excitement, ready to meet Tenya's classmates. " Yes, that would be Class 1-a! " He said, grinning, and they both dragged along. After reaching the group, Y/n waved, a smile stretching across her face. Her e/c eyes shone in the afternoon sunlight, glimmering. " Hi! I'm Y/N L/N, amazing awesome beautifal girl genius and best friend of the less awesome, less amazing, less beautifal boy Tenya Iida! " She said, sneaking a glance at Tenya, who glared playfully.

A girl with pink hair and.. pink skin and.. A pink shirt..and..pink..everything.. Whatever. The girl stood up from her seat on a bench, grinning. " The names Mina Ashido! Nice ta' meet ya L/n! " She held out her hand to shake. " Nice to meet you too! " Y/n took her hand and shook it agressively.

The rest of the people there introduced themselves. Izuku Midoriya, Tsuyu Asui, Yuuga Aoyama.. Etc.

Y/n turned to the one person who hasn't introduced himself yet. A blonde, with red eyes and a grumpy expression. " Heyo! Who're you? Your hair is cool, can I touch it? " She didn't wait for a response and reached over, poking his spiky hair. It was s h a r p. Actually, sharp. " OI.I, GET AWAY FROM ME EXTRA! " A tiny boom was heard and she felt a slight pain on her wrist. Looking down, y/n saw a little red spot with a tiny burn. Like a little bit of boiling water splashed her. " OuCh! Calm down, you angry ass porcupine. " She grumbled. The rest of the group burst into laughter at her insult.

\__Two Hours Later__/

The group had been talking for hours now, giggling. Y/n sat on the grass beside Tenya, her head in his lap. He was chatting with Yaoyurozu about schoolwork, subconsciously playing with a strand of Y/n's h/c locks.

" Soo are you two dating? " Inquired Ashido. Y/n didn't jolt or move or do anything really, she just shrugged and kept rambling to Kaminari and Kirishima about spider-goats. Tenya, on the other hand, panicked. " No! No, we're just childhood friends! " At this, Y/n took offense. " Mhm..yeah, totally childhood friends who kIssed! " She said, feigning annoyance. " WE WERE FIVE Y/N! " She grumbled, moving from her position to sit next to Kaminari. " Still counts. But fIne, if we're just childhood friends, then my nEw best friend is Kaminari! " She whispered something to Kaminari and he nodded, grinning. " Hey, D e n k i, wanna go to Doutour tomorrow? " She said. Tenya just ignored her antics, but be couldn't help but feel irked that his, his bestfriend was calling another person- no, another guy- who she just met- by his first name. It took her two years to start calling him by his first name.

\__Thirty Minutes Later__/

Y/n checked her watch, grumbling. " It's getting late, we should all head home. " She said, sighing dramatically. " Oh! Whats your number? I'm gonna put you in our group chat! " Ashido said. " Oh, its ###-###-####. " You said, grinning. She nodded and typed something in on her phone, then waved. " I'll be off! " They all parted ways, though Y/n and Tenya walked back to his house together. Once she arrived there, Y/n s p r i n t e d up to his room, and his was like 3 minutes til' Tenya actually arrived at his bedroom. " Lets keep bingeing Spy x family! " He nodded, sitting down on his bed beside her. He didn't like anime, but he didn't mind watching it if Y/n was with him. After one episode, he felt a weight on his shoulder. He turned, peering at the source of the touch. Y/n's head was resting on his shoulder. Tenya didn't move, just admiring her peaceful face as she slept. Her chest rising and falling, her h/c bangs draping over her face. He slid a hand around her waist, pulling her closer. Y/n murmured something, stirring awake. Groggily, she sat up slightly and moved onto Tenya's lap, grumbling. Light pink dusted the navy-haired boy's cheeks, he looked away. You both eventually fell asleep in each others embrace, comforted by the presence of one another.
