The Day it All Changed...

Continuing from chapter 3

"Why did you leave?" She said with her head in her hands.

I knew exactly what she meant too. I left my freshman year and never came back without telling anybody. Me and her were a thing at that time but I just up and left on her.

"I-I uh had some stuff I had to take care of." I said with a sigh.

"Like what?! You just left me without saying a word not even to you own mother?" Her voice was rising.

Luckily the taxi came and I stood up and helped her up. We got in and i had my arm around her mostly to keep her from falling. We drove around for a good 15 minutes until we finally arrived at my house. We got out and I paid the man who was driving and we walked inside.

"Do you have any sweatpants so i don't have to sleep in jeans?" She said sitting on the couch.

"Yeah one sec." I said as I ran upstairs and got some sweats and a hoodie for her because it was kinda cold.

She took them and went upstairs to the bathroom.I went and sat on the couch and about ten minutes later she came down stairs and sat beside me...really close.

"Not sleepy?" I asked.

"I cant sleep alone up there its too dark." She pulled her knees up to her chest beside me.

I laughed a little "Afraid of the dark?"

She shot a glare at me then smiled a bit "No, its just too quiet up there."

"So you want to sleep down here with me?" I said as I stood up and got some blankets and two pillows.

"Mhm, if you don't mind?" Her voice was in a higher pitch than normal.

"Yeah its fine." I said with a smile.

"Yay!" she came and ran over and laid beside me.

A few hours pass and she turns over on her side and puts her head on my chest. Oh my am-am I falling for her again? No No No. My chest went fuzzy and then i couldn't help myself from putting my arms around her until I drifted off.

I Wake up and Hayley is on my chest sleeping softly. So I reach in my pocket and check my phone. 10:00 am ugh its too early. I look over at her and she rubs her eyes and opens them and looks at me with a soft smile.

"Goodmorning." She says smiling and looking into my eyes.

"Morning, how are you feeling?" I roll over and face her.

" Alot better than last night......did I yell at you?" She said scrunching her eyebrows.

"Started to but the taxi came in time for me to change the subject." I say looking down slightly.

"I just- I was supposed to give you something before you left if you would have told me." She said kinda quick almost too fast for me to catch.

"Give me something?" I said looking into her eyes.

"Yeah, this." She rolled on top of me and put her hands on my cheeks and kissed me.

It felt like my heart skipped a beat then it started racing. I put my hands on her waist and starting kissing her back. Her soft lips against mine her body on top of mine it almost felt like I was in a dream until I heard a rumble in the distance making me raise up.

"Oh my god i'm so-"

"Shh did you hear that?" I say cutting her off.

She perked her head up and moved to the side. I get up and I notice I only have a pair of shorts on. I pull the curtains from the sliding door to see a huge bright flash and another rumble. Hayley comes behind me and wraps her arms around me.

"What is it?" She said quietly.

I looked harder to see a mushroom cloud.....
