The Mysterious Night Creatures

The night it all changed

The world did not end up in a bang or a whisper but rather, one scream at a time

A girl entered a grocery  shop and picked the things she wanted and exited she was too quiet, the place too, she was the only person in that shop and in that place except for the creatures that hunt humanity at night..

*the girl's pov*

I picked the things i needed and left, the place i am now walking to is my home but it can be hardly said as a home because.. Blood everywhere.Not only my home, neighbours home, shops, everywhere in this world.. I feel like i am the last human in this world and when the time the food here is over, it's over for me as well...Well my family used to call me Lith,short for Lilith Augustus.I guess i don't need a name anymore cuz everyones gone now..

It has been 1 week and 2 days since it happened, since i lost my family, my happiness.. So how i lived up till now? It's simple, for the first 3days i had no idea actually but now i know..These mysterious creatures only come at night, to hunt..

So the morning times are really safe for us or me, and at night don't close the door they are smart they will know we are there so i open them wide and maybe they come inside searching but don't freak out, just sit on somethin faced towards the wall like if you sit on it no one will know you are there from behind, that type of sofa is good.. Sit on it like that and do your thing quietly you will survive..

*Flashback to where it all started*

*Lith's pov*

"Mom, am home~"  "Oh, you are back early today"my mom said happily.."Can't i come home early for just one day?"i said with a done face while locking the door.."Is dad home?"i asked "He said he and Leo will be late today because they are going to visit your grandma" she said.."oh k"

(Leo is Lilith's older brother)

*after 2 hours*
"Lith come down to eat" i heard my mom yell from downstairs.. Gaud i missed this yelling thing from her.. "Coming~"u ran downstairs and we both started eating.. After the dinner we both were watching a movie and suddenly the house bell rang."It maybe your father and your brother"she said while walking towards the door meanwhile i just laughed at the way she called my dad and bro..

Then the next thing u heard was......... screaming sounds.. I ran to there and the thing i saw.. Dad covered in blood while holding an unconscious Leo who lost one arm and mom asking them how, when, where these happened, i couldn't process a single thing and the only thing my father managed to say was "They are coming here too, run for your life you two" and he and Leo was.. taken by a big hand, a big but thin black arm..

Then the very next moment there was blood splashed everywhere, my mom screamed and grabbed me upstairs and told me to hide under the bed, it had a long bedsheet so i was unable to see from outside then i heard her scream again, and i could hear blood splashing too, it was too much for me to handle so without even me realizing i fainted..

*the next morning*

I woke up lying in the floor, and remembered last night and all i prayed was it was just a nightmare but luck was not on my time, i scene i saw was very brutal for an 18 year old and the day too was my birthday.. I cried hardly until my eyes hurt and finally i got up and went downstairs carefully and opened the front door and it too was brutal, not only the blood and parts of my family but the neighbours too.. Everything was quiet except my heavy breathing...

*Back to present*

And that's how it turned out, for the past few days, without myself knowing i became an emotionless person which i hated the most.. I didn't knew a single day could change my life this..
