Naomi: Erica, Erica, Erica come on. we have to go you know the hair stylist doesn't accept customers even 1 second after their appointment time.
Erica: Do we have to go to Ms. Renee's salon? She always gets an attitude quickly.
Naomi: Would you rather go to someone who has little to no experience with our hair?
Erica: No.
Naomi: No that's what I thought. I will drop you off at your hair appointment then I will pick up a few hours at GVN.
Derek: Couldn't you have done something more exciting. Who wants to sit Infront of a tv all day and predict the weather all day.
Naomi: Well, your birthday gifts don't pay themselves.
Erica: You're still reading those silly clown books. You are such a nerd.
Derek: Shut up.
Erica: No wonder why you have no friends. Besides fictional characters like Mario or Luigi
Naomi: All right Erica, time to go you can bully your brother after your appointment. (Kisses Derek) Happy Birthday Derek. Your father should be back soon don't touch nothing while we're gone, oh and make sure to take out the trash. Tell your father that I'll pick up George from your grandmother's.
(Erica mouths Loser)
Derek: I am a loser. Hmm. I wonder what presents Mom and Dad got me. Hopefully a new gaming system.
(Derek searches for presents)
Derek: No, no, come on there have to be presents somewhere.
Jefferson: Derek.
Derek: Dad's home!
Jefferson: Derek. Derek happy birthday son.
Derek: Thanks Dad. So, what are we doing today the arcade, amusement park or the video game store.
Jefferson: Okay, okay Settle down son. The day is just beginning.
Derek: I've already made a list of things to do today.
Jefferson: All right I have a surprise for you. Get inside the car let's go for a drive.
(In Car)
Derek: Where are we going. Hopefully not anyplace boring.
Jefferson: All right, we will be there shortly. You know how Erica says you have no friends.
Derek: I have friends, There's Gerald and Isaac.
Jefferson: Gerald moved away to New York and Isaac's family moved to Paris. You're starting 8th grade in a few days. Having friends is important.
Derek: I'm not exactly the friend's type.
Jefferson: Having friends is important son. They make your life enjoyable and can challenge you in many ways and will find flaws that you did not know you have. You both will get along because he's been in your place.
(At the Floyd Residence)
Jennifer: All right I'm going to take Hannah for a checkup she is not feeling very well. I will pick up Jack from boys Soccer. And Jefferson and Derek are coming over treat them kindly.
Michael: Gladly
(Door rings)
Michael: What's up Chocolate Bar and Mini-Chocolate Bar.
Logan: Dad, our controller could use some more batteries. Who's that. Is that the kid who you messed with in high school.
