Alfred, the personification of the fairly new country of America. Arthur, the personification of a once pirate-filled country, Great Britain. Matthew, the personification of a colony named Canada, owned by Great Britain. All three, each in different countries, but each having one thing on their mind ; war. Alfred, with his county still recovering from the effects of the Battle of Tippecanoe, paces in President Madison's office. "President Madison, sir," Alfred ran his hand through his hair. "General Hull keeps commanding that the Government declare war on Britain," Madison nodded in response to Alfred's claim. "I do suppose he has a point, Alfred. We can't, and shouldn't, take this banter on our country. We need to prove to both Britain, and other countries, that the United States won't accept this. We are a strong, independent new country. We need to show our worth and strength." Madison clasps his hands together and straightens his posture as Alfred stops pacing. "I mean, I totally agree with you, sir, a hundred percent! I just don't think we can afford a war right now, we're barely recovered from this past war in November, and if Art...Britain, pulls some kind of trick..I.." He paused, hesitating. "I don't believe we'd be able to recover." Madison stayed silent for a few moments, these moments being centuries for Alfred. "Alfred, I understand your concerns. We'll take this as it comes. But, I'm sorry to say, we need to declare war on Britain." Madison looked at Alfred. Alfred sighs, thinking over things in his mind. "...You're right. America won't let itself be treated like this." Alfred looks directly at Madison. "Today, June 18, 1812, the United States officially declares war on Britain." Madison nods and extends his hand. "We'll end this, Alfred." Alfred extends his and shakes Madison's hand. "Pass the message on."

"Arthur, sir," General Lambert bowed to Athur before standing straight and holding out an envelope. "What is this?" Arthur takes it and opens it. "A declaration from America. They have declared war on us." Lambert said as Arthur scanned the letter. "Bloody hell," Arthur threw the note on the closet table. "Alert the colonies. Prepare them for war." Arthur started walking down the corridor, Lambert following quickly behind him. "Yes, sir, I- '' Arthur cuts him off. "Does the queen know?" Lambert nods as he speaks. "Yes, sir, she was the first to know." Arthur nods. "I'm sure this will be an easy win on Britain's part, America was just in a war, correct?" Arthur stopped infront of the door that headed out into courtroom one, Lambert stopped right infront of him. "Yes, sir." Arthur extends his hand, "Thank you, General Lambert. From this day on, the United States and Great Britain are at war. May Queen Charlotte bless their souls." Why would He start a war, of all people, Why now? General Lambert had just left before Arthur's breath had become uneasy. "Back at square one, I see..." He can never escape his past, no matter how hard he seems to try. Every little thing reminds him of that fateful revolution. The night of Alfred Fitzgerald Jones' Independence. The day he had long dreaded since his happiness was ripped from his existence.

"Sir Arthur is on his way here, sir." Matthew perked up. "Eh?" Matthews' assistant, Blaise, hands him a letter. Matthew puts down Kumajiro and takes the letter, opening it, scanning its contents. "Amérique and Grande-Bretagne declared war on each other, sir. Sir Arthur has commanded the colonies to prepare for war." Matthew sets down the letter and picks back up Kumajiro. "I do hope we won't be much involved in this war. I hope to only be a supplier to Grande-Bretagne." He starts to brush the smaller bear. "I wonder why Amérique declared war, I'm pretty certain that he's still recovering from a war last year. " Blaise nodded in response and changed the subject. "Arthur will arrive by tomorrow morning, he wants to discuss what Canada's role in this war will be. The note he sent to General George had requested some supplies being traded between our country and Grande-Bretagne, including soldiers. General George isn't opposed to the idea of merging, but his squad prefers not to. The General states will discuss it with his squad along-side Sir Arthur tomorrow." Matthew let Kumajiro free, the bear running off to the kitchen for some apples. Matthew lightly shook his head at the bear, then walked over to Blaire. standing in front of the other male, he says, "Merci, Blaise, for all your hard work." Blaise smiled at Matthew, and they both shook hands. "You're welcome, sir."

"Author Alexander Contee Hanson published a newspaper bashing the government for declaring war On Britain. Republican crowds converged on Alexander's office, destroying his printing press, and causing the Author to flee. The officials of Baltimore did not intervene as they were afraid of the mobs. However, General Robert E's father, Henry, defends Alexander's views on the government's decision. The mobs then moved to the city jail, wanting the county to change their decision to relocate the jail. During the jail raid, General James M. Lingan was stabbed with a knife through his chest, immediately killing him. The mob severely injured 11 more, including General Lee and General Hadson, who is said to be in critical condition. That is all I have to report on the matter, sir." Alfred's assistant placed down her piece of paper on Alfred's desk. Alfred took a deep breath, and started to think things over. "Thank you, Eliza. You may go." She meekly nodded and left, knowing that Alfred needed a few minutes to think it over before he could actually reply in a calm and collective manner. Once Eliza shut the door, Alfred dropped his head on his desk. "Unelanvhi..." Small tears found their way into Alfred eyes. "I..I think this was a bad idea.." He mumbled to himself.
