From here i will have to change different aspects of Terran technology for better understanding overall.

And one of them is warp drive

Warp drive is FTL version of travel specifically for Starcraft 2 races, from what i was able to gather information about it , it is a little bit similar to Halo's slipspace drive, it opens a portal through dimension called Warp, you need to insert exact coordinates of location where you would be transported to, in essential its hours long trip .

Unfortunately i couldn't find exact amount of distance in with time it could travel , so I'm going to use UED warp drives for this fanfic. while this is not canon i must use it for simplicity sake..

Koprulu sector is 60k light years away from Earth in Starcraft 2, UED was spectating Koprulu sector long time already before but first contact with alien life was made in 2499 by Terrans, seeing the chaos in the sector UED  dispatched a fleet , it came to Koprulu sector in just a year at max, now people are debating  that it took 1 month for them to arrive some 6 months , for story i will take 1 month to close such such distance. ( In other sources UED has sent their fleets only after overmind death so it could have taken a little less than a month)

Now this could potentially make Terrans more stronger as a race ,With this in their power, Terran Imperium will be able to quickly colonize nearby systems , now this might look and sound fast for a ship but actually it is not... to other races in universe..

Narrator POV

In the meantime of Terran Imperium improvements John was training, by using new enemies , Zerg and Protoss. 

With Zerg  scenario would be that Zerg's spawned on Earth with many hatcheries and spawning pools, in most scenarios Terran Imperium would lose, having limited number of people and firepower which unfortunately at the end would let Zerg to spread around the planet..

With Protoss, it's different story..

No ones's POV

Just as John was about to open visual room  he heard Adjutant's voice..

"Sir, General Warfield requests your presence in control room" Spoke Adjutants cold voice

"Tell him I'll be there" I answered before turning back into direction of the control room..'What could he want?'

1 minute later, at control room are both General Warfield and Adjutant ..

While General Warfield is in his white CMC suit...

*Swish* Door opens

"General Warfield why did you want to meet me

"Your Majesty." Said Warfield before bowing to John who nodded his head.

"I wanted to propose new tactics and new project , sir." Stated Warfield before Adjutant showed hologram on the table , the hologram was that of Earth.

"What project are you talking about?" Asked John

"Expansion one ,Sir. It would need 20x Leviathan-Class battlecruisers to be produced before beginning exploration of our own system and other systems, after data and coordinates are sent to us we could begin colonization." Replied Warfield before motioning his armored finger at hologram which turned into solar system..

"Ok but would 20x be enough for such operation? I suppose for our own it will be but others i don't so." Stated John before taking thinking pose...

"Correct Your Majesty , even though we discovered that our home system has same planets as original one, it would be best to confirm  it, Before sending 5x ships at all four sides of our system it would take weeks before they report something insignificant." Reported General Warfield.

"Ok then, Adjutant Begin production of 20x Leviathan-Class battlecruisers. Begin mass production of cities use Troopers as laborers we need to expand even faster" 

"Yes ,Sir" Answered Adjutant before beginning productions of orders..

"How are our food storage is doing , Adjutant" Asked John directing his gaze at Adjutant

"Good Sir, many animal of this planet are tamed , vegetables are also in mass productions, spices are achieved." Replied Adjutant..

"What tactics did you want to make General Warfield?" Asked John,

"My plans is that ships  such as Gorgon-Class or even Behemoth-Class battlecruiser to have supply bunkers, ready to be dropped from space with all troopers in it. And much more plans and ideas more of them are in this  chip" Said Warfield before taking small chip out of his helmet right side to show to John..

"And this is one of the main reasons why I'm here sir." Spoke Warfield pointing at hologram which zoomed right into Earth and multiple locations on Earth are marked with red signal." This locations are one of the best for repelling invasion, we could build many Missile Turrets and in future huge Guns to hit attacking fleets, not only because of it's terrain but for multiple more reasons are they best plus there should be more military bases around them?"

"I see your point, some of them are highest locations on the plan , again i approve of your request but, it will be made after our planet reached population of atleast 5 billion people.." Said John, little bit amazed at Warfield performance, ' He's right in all aspects , but some of his  plans will only later be achieved"

John turned around and began leaving the control room but not before saying last words to them..

"I will return to my room,...."

Later in John's room

"Jared, summon 20x million civilians." 

<Yes , sir>
