peninsula(jung-seok X Oc)

the quest

I woke up by 2 men shaking me and both jung-seok awake. I gave jung-seok a nudge because he wouldn't get up.

Then in a second he opened his eyes and jumped out of bed punching the two men.

'Stop we are not here to fight.' I hear someone say
'The boss wants to see you and your girlfriend.'

Jung-seok looked up seeing the man who previously brought us to this room we were in right now.
The man from before tried pushing him out but that just resulted in a punch from jung-seok.

He took my hand and followed the men out.
'Let me do the talking okay.' He said to me
I nodded.

They led us into a room when we walked in jung-seok stopped looking in the direction of his sister's husband.
Jung-seok sister got bit by the infected on the way to Japan, he couldn't save her now he blames himself for it.

'What are you doing here?'
'Let's leave'

'Let go of me.'
'Hyung.'

'Hyung! Means brother right?'
'You two brothers?'

'No he's my dead wife's brother.'
'Hm, that sounds like a real tragic story.'

'Have a seat.' A man told me a jung-seok.

'Let get down to business.'
'You see I heard a rumor there seems to be alot people going down into the peninsula to make their own fate.'
'Zombies don't give a damn about all the gold and money laying around there unguarded.'

'I think it's ingenious.'
'Wow. You want us to go back in there? Have you lost your mind?.' Jung-seok suddenly said
'My brother my mind is completely sound, thankyou.'

'Okay. So.. the neighboring coutries around the peninsula are controlling every ship. How would get in or out?' I speak up

'It's been done, you don't need to worry about the coastguard.'
'20 million dollars, I don't think it's too difficult. The zombies are practically blind at night.'

'How much money do we get?'
'Half.'
'Think, you have no idea if the government is gonna give you your refugee status so you might aswell make your own god damn future.'

Me, jung-seok and his sisters husband are now discussing the quest while grabbing a drink.
'It'll only take half a day.'
Jung-seok scoffs and puts down his glass.
'Are you nuts? You wanna go back in there?'

'You wanna stay here and get treated like scum?'
'You should have just let me die on that ship with my wife and son. Why didn't you.'
'If I had let you die, everyone on that ship would have died aswell. Am i wrong?'

'It was a sensible decision'
'Sensible decision my ass.'
'Did you even try? Think about your future, your stuck here too. So is Ji-woo.'
'Don't bring her into this.'

'Whatever forget it.'
'I'm going you can do whatever you want.'

'HEY AREN'T THEY THE ASSHOLES FROM THE PENINSULA?' Someone shouts
'What?'
'Watch yourself.'
'Stop it.' Jung-seok said

Suddenly the bartender put a knife into the cutting board right next to me.
'I don't want your money, just leave.'
'Go ahead.' Jung-seok told his brother in law.

He got his drink finished it putting glass down smashing it. Taking my hand in his he followed his brother in law.

Him and I decided to risk going to the peninsula. I didn't want to go back in there but having a brighter future with jung-seok didn't seem all to bad and it was worth the risk.

We were now on the ship boarding to the peninsula.
'Almost there, no need to be so serious. Soon you'll be rich.'
'Take what you need, don't forget the zombies are blind at night and sensitive to sound. Important thing we drop you off and stay at the sea near arrival for three days.'
'Take these, call me when you get to port with the truck and we'll pull up the boat.'
'And lastly, you escaped out of there so you know not to save each other for nothing.'
'Don't worry, we know.'
'Great, do not let us down.'

'It makes me nervous you three know each other.'
'I know.'
'We don't get to screw this up so don't let personal things get in the way.'
'We won't even see each other after this. So don't worry.'

I noticed jung-seok's gaze dropping down after he said that.
I grabbed his hand and smiled at him when he looked at me. He smiled back but less genuine then other times.

'You okay?'
'Yeah I'm okay, you?'
'I think so.' I said

'Yah, you two married or something?' The other guy from the team asks us
'No.' We both say together
'Oh okay, so how do you know each other then?.'
'She's my girlfriend.'
