"Hey Chifuyu," you greeted him as he opened the door with a surprised look. Chifuyu's surprise turned into a warm smile as he welcomed you inside. It seemed that plans had changed, and it was just the two of you hanging out instead of with Baji. You pouted a bit at the change, but you figured it was better than canceling altogether. After all, there's not much you can do if Baji had other plans.

"Y/N? Um, where's Baji?" Chifuyu looked around but Baji seemed missing. Chifuyu's heart raced with a mixture of nerves and excitement at the realization that it was just the two of you. He tried to compose himself, but inside, he couldn't help but feel a flutter of hope.

Since joining Toman, you've been inseparable, earning yourselves the nickname "trio." "Oh!" Chifuyu chuckled softly as he closed the door behind him. It was the first time it was just the two of you hanging out, and he was visibly nervous, fidgeting with his hands and casting innocent glances your way. Concerned, you tilted your head and asked if he was okay. He quickly straightened up, scratching his head. "I'm fine, don't worry," he assured. "Hmm..." you paused, noticing a reddish tint to his cheeks. "Are you feeling unwell? Maybe we should cancel..." you began, expressing your concern, before Chifuyu abruptly exclaimed, "No!"

You were taken aback, clutching your chest in surprise. Chifuyu cleared his throat, offering an apology for startling you. "I'm not sick. I'm just... happy?" he explained, though you were accustomed to Chifuyu's quirks, so you brushed it off. "Okay... let's go then," you replied, leading the way with the confidence that Chifuyu would trail behind. Together, you strolled to a nearby park, indulging in ice creams and engaging in light-hearted conversation. The banter always amused you, especially noticing how attentively Chifuyu listened whenever you spoke about yourself. It was almost too easy to steer the conversation in your direction.

As the day waned, painting the sky with hues of orange, it signaled it was time to return home. Walking alongside Chifuyu, you both passed by a closed pet shop. Chifuyu paused, his attention captured by a black cat within, evoking memories of someone, someone with long hair. "Look, it's Baji," he remarked, pointing to the feline inside.

You spun around eagerly at the mention of Baji's name, only to find it was merely a cat that Chifuyu had whimsically dubbed as such. Disappointment washed over you momentarily, but you couldn't help but chuckle as you looked at the feline. "It really does resemble Baji," you admitted with a laugh. "Don't you think?" Chifuyu's sweet smile in response stirred up a wave of nostalgia within you. You recalled fondly the days when Chifuyu sported his pompadour hairstyle, playing with street cats. Indeed, how swiftly time had flown by.

"Do you like cats?" There was a brief silence before he nodded, feeling a hint of embarrassment about his fondness. You couldn't help but laugh once more at his typical awkwardness. "Always so awkward," you teased affectionately. "Wanna come to my house and meet my cat? Her name is Angel," you suggested casually, shrugging.

Chifuyu's eyes sparkled with excitement at the prospect of visiting your house, especially since it was the first time you had invited him over, and he had no idea you had a cat. The idea of his cat, Peke J, and your cat, Angel, playing together filled him with anticipation. How could he possibly refuse your invitation? "Okay! Next time, I'll introduce you to Peke J," he agreed eagerly, his eyes shining. "Peke J? Is that your cat?" you inquired. "Yeah! Next time, okay?" Chifuyu confirmed. "How about now? Why don't we let Angel and Peke J meet each other right away?" you suggested spontaneously.

As you and Chifuyu made your way back to the building, you retrieved Peke J, and he eagerly followed you to your apartment. Feeling inclusive, you decided to check if Baji wanted to join the pet playdate as well. You reached his door, preparing to knock and expecting his mother to answer, but to your surprise, it was Baji himself who opened the door. "You're home? I thought you weren't here," you exclaimed in disbelief.
