Y/n's pov

When I rolled out of bed I went to eat something. The cottage had a small but functioning kitchen. I made a Western breakfast of gravy and biscuits. Once I was done eating I washed the things I used and heard a knock at the door.

When I opened it I was met with a familiar happy face.

"Good morning Mitsuri-san."

"Good morning Y/n-san. I wanted to take you on a tour of the entire grounds of the corps. If you want to, of course."

"I would love to. I will need a second to get ready though."

That's when she noticed that I was wearing a very light night shift.

She turned her head away blushing deeply, "Oh-

I- 'm sorry!" She turned fully around. "I'll wait out here for you!"

"Ok."

I went to my room pulling out a black pair of sweatpants-looking things. They were originally just straight pants made for those who did a lot of manual labor with their stretchy and cool fabric but I attached bands at the legs so they wouldn't be so flowy and get in the way. I grabbed another one of the tight shirts, a dark gray, I wore when I was doing hard work, and put it on. Then I put on a (whatever color and pattern you want) shirt that was very similar to the top of a Kimono so I didn't look too out of place.

Then I grabbed the basic weapons I always kept on me. There were the gloves that I attached to the top of my forearms with their straps to keep them out of sight. Then I grabbed a belt with pockets that held my kunai. I wore the belt under my Kimono top but over the tight top to keep it from rubbing me raw. When I was done with that I grabbed my satchel bag that had water and a snack along with other things.

When I was done I went to the door and opened it. Mitsuri-san was waiting for me.

"Ahh, you look so cute!"

"Thank you."

"Let's go, I want you to meet Shinobu-san. I think you guys will get along. You both got a certain vibe."

'Certain vibe?' I thought.

Time skip

We had been walking for about five minutes just talking when someone appeared.

"Hello, Muichiro-san, this is Y/n L/n. I'm showing her around. We're headed to see Shinobu-kun right now. How about you?"

He was quiet but smart looking at the same time. He had black hair with teal at the ends and it was very long.

When he just started Mitsuri said, "Why don't you just introduce yourself?"

Then his face flushed into a deep blush and he mumbled out, "Muichiro Tokito the Mist Hashira."

Then he just left.

"Does he not like me?" you asked.

"Oh, absolutely not. That's just how he is."

"ok."

Time skip

When we arrived at the place Mitsuri told me it was the Butterfly estate. It was very pretty. When we got to the door and Mitsuri knocked, a pretty girl answered. She had black fade to purple short hair.

"Shinobu-san, I want you to meet Y/n L/n. I'm showing her around."

"Hello, I'm Shinobu Kocho the Insect Pillar." She gave me a warm smile.

"Hi, you may call me whatever."

"Yay, now you guys can be friends too!" Mitsuri squealed.

Then a person came running up to us. They were wearing a black version of the standard Demon slayer uniform I have seen all of the other people I met wear, consisting of a gakuran jacket and hakama pants. They were wearing black head coverings with white linings.

"Mitsuri-san Ubuyashiki-sama has requested to see you! Y/n-san, Rengoku has arrived from his mission and requested to see you. I will take you to him."

I followed the kakushi as Mitsuri-san called them back to the flame pillars estate. I asked. Questions about the place and other things as we walked since the person was willing to talk.

Instead of going around the main building to the place where I stayed, we went to the main building entrance.

The person leading me knocked on the door and it was immediately opened by Rengoku.

"Thank you for bringing Y/n-san to me."

"Of course Rengoku-san."

We went inside and the person left. Rengoku led me to a table and sat down motioning for me to do the same.

"I'm just going to jump right into this ok?" I nodded to show that I was listening. "Ok so upon seeing your abilities I thought that with the training you could be a good demon slayer. I have a plan for you. I want to see which breathing style you fit with."

"Umm... breathing styles?"

"Ahh yes, I'm getting ahead of myself.

"Breathing styles are what demon slayers use to combat demons. It is the way we make ourselves strong and or fast enough to outmatch demons. By increasing the amount of oxygen in a demon slayer's body, a Demon Slayer can gain physical abilities. This is called Total Concentration breathing. While it does put a strain on the body, with the right training and conditioning even barely trained Demon Slayers can master a technique to the point where they can maintain Total Concentration Breathing indefinitely, even while asleep. This is known as the Total Concentration Constant technique.

"Total Concentration Breathing is an advanced breathing technique where a user inhales the maximum amount of oxygen within a specific breath pattern to raise their physical and mental power to their top limit. The effects are enhanced physical and mental abilities. Physical strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility. Mental being faster thought processes, maximizing concentration, and hyper-information processing. At a more advanced level, Total Concentration is also capable of slowing down the circulation of poison in the bloodstream and even clotting wounds from injuries.

"There is also Recovery Breathing where one takes a brief moment to focus and steady his breath, allowing one to recover from fatigue and stiff muscles.

"Total Concentration: Constant is a Total Concentration Breathing state during the morning, noon, and night, and even while asleep that advanced Demon Slayers, such as Hashira, can constantly maintain. There is an immense difference in strength, speed, and stamina between someone who can maintain Total Concentration Breathing at all times and someone who cannot.

"I hope to be there to help teach you about all of those things." He said this with a cast out look to his eyes.

"Ok so when do we start?"

"Tomorrow."
