This morning I learned that Kenny is a morning person, which is annoying.

I am not a morning person. I hate mornings. I'm always in a foul mood whenever I wake up from either sleep or a nap. As for Kenny, he's so energetic every morning it makes me feel sick. No seriously, it physically makes me feel sick. Thankfully, I don't have to empty my stomach since it's already empty thanks for the food being scarce and all.

And here I thought morning people were extinct.

I was curled up on the couch we found. I had to share the couch with Kenny. In all honesty I don't mind the sharing part, but it sucks when you wake up with a foot on your face in the middle of the night. He tosses a lot in his sleep.

The building we were in was an office of some sort. I don't know for what and honestly, it's not important right now.

What's important is the fact that I can't go back to sleep even though it's very early in the morning because someone is humming twinkle twinkle little star while rummaging through the drawers. He's humming that godawful song while opening and closing those drawers. To me, it feels like the sounds he's making are ten time worse than they actually are. And I thought my sister was annoying in the morning. He's even worse.

I groaned in annoyance and opened my eyes – which took a lot of effort – to glare at him. "Can you please stop humming that song?" I snapped in frustration.

THUD!

He closed yet another drawer, and this time louder that the pervious times. Whether he did it intentionally or not, it still annoyed the heck out of me. "And stop doing that!"

"Sorry."

I sighed and looked at the window and decided it's okay to get 5 more minutes more of blissful sleep. So I closed my eyes for just one minute. It was quiet and perfect and I felt warm and happy where I am, which is a rare feeling these days. I just wanted to bask in it for a few moments...

But apparently asking for 5 more minutes was too much.

"Roddy, wake up." Kenny poked my head. I just ignored him.

"We need to move soon, Rod." He said poking my head again. I tried not to react as I ignored him yet again.  I just felt like being stubborn.

"Wake. Up!" He said shaking me, but I just pushed him away. I am not opening my eyes until I get my 5 minutes.

I like the fact that he can't throw cold water at me since cold water is nonexistent now, and water in general is too precious to waste on something as stupid as throwing it at someone. So I just made myself even more comfortable and ignored him. Even when he closed my nose I just simply breathed through my mouth.

"If you don't get up now, you'll regret it." Kenny said seriously.

"Go die."

"Is that how it is?"
