3rd Person POV

"Wait," Yeri blurted out.

She face palmed herself mentally. Having fallen right into his trap she could do nothing but keep her composure for as long as possible.

He smirked.

"How do I know what you're saying is the truth?" Yeri began carefully.

"As I said before, after knowing it you can tell for yourself what the truth is. It doesn't concern me at all really, whatever you think that is. But it is quite unfair you go down without knowing the truth that your father hid behind that mask of lies."

He paused.

"It wouldn't be right his daughter didn't know everything," he said.

Yeri contemplated what to say. This man was a liar, a manipulator. She had fallen into his trap and getting out was difficult.

"So you think you're better than him," she said, venom laced in her voice.

"To become better than your father in your eyes is not my intention. You are mistaken, Yeri. I only tell you this because a daughter not knowing his father's crimes...."

Yeri scoffed.

"Do you think I care about what he did or did not do? Honestly, this family is sick to the core."

"You're part of this family too," he said with a smile but his tone was mockingly sarcastic.

"Worst thing that ever happened to me. Even after he's dead, his shadow won't leave me. Even after I ran away from him and built myself anew from the ground up, his shadow continued to follow me. Even in this moment."

She paused.

"You're nothing but a shadow of my late father."

She gave a laugh.

And yet again she was slapped hard on the face making the side of her other cheek sting.

"It was I whom he should have been the shadow of. But your father has a habit of taking away everybody's prized possessions for himself," he said.

"This mafia was what I should have lead, but your father after our father's death he took it away from me. I should have been top. I should have been feared and known. But instead, he grew feared and powerful. That was my spot. He took it for himself and threw me away to the mercy of the shadows."

"Seems to me you weren't capable enough," Yeri said and her shoulders gave the slight hint of a shrug.

He gripped Yeri by the hair and brought her face upwards.

"You dare disrespect me!" he screamed in rage.

"I did a lot more than this to the man who was the cause of my existence. I can do whatever I want to his older brother," she said.

He let her hair go and slapped her hard once again.

"I pity you actually," he said. "Even after killing him with your bare hands you still support him. I guess it is because he's your father after all. The man who took away everything from you. Tell me, Yeri. You stand here today, a part of you is still going after his pride's protection. But if it weren't for him, you wouldn't even be standing here. We would have all been living our lives in peace."

"What kind of peace? He would have done the same to you that you are doing to his legacy."

"His legacy? There is no legacy of your father, little Kim. Your boyfriend wanted him dead just as bad as I did. And you know Yeri, you have been played all along. First your father played you. Then Jungkook played you against your father. You have been used as a pawn all along."
