WARNING: JUSTIN BEIBER IS MENTIONED IN THE STORY. I DO NOT OWN HIM.

The local bar, 11:00 PM

Stacy sighed as she exited the crowded bar. Things were really getting wild back there, and she didn't exactly want to be a part of that. "They are so irresponsible," she muttered under her breath, "they" meaning her two friends and fellow heroes, Annie and Sky. Actually, Annie was the most responsible one of the three Ensembles; Sky was just feeling particularly hyper tonight, and Annie wanted to make sure she didn't get into trouble like she did every other time she got drunk, and Stacy was just tired of it all.

Trying to chase the cold air away from her body and keep herself warm, Stacy rubbed her arms up and down her arms, which were already covered by a dark navy-almost black-jacket. Her eyes darted around behind her dirty glasses. This continued for some time until she grew tired and tugged her glasses off and wiped them clean with the hem of her jacket. With Stacy's glasses off, her Asian features became more recognizable.

Then, her watch beeped. Stacy picked up her hand and held her wrist in front of her face, inspecting the message written on her high-tech watch she had gotten when she and her friends formed the Ensemble, the superhero group that fights villains during the nighttime. "Go home without us, sorry. -Annie," she ready aloud. "Fine, but you guys are taking the bus. I'm going to take the car," she replied, and after she got a quick "'Kay" as a response, she made her way to the small black convertible.

Pulling her keys out (all three of them had spare keys, even Annie, even though she has the original keys) and unlocked the car. Then she climbed in and turned on the ignition, closed the door, and buckled up her seatbelt.

As she pulled out of the parking lot, Stacy's mind began to wander to when she and her friends were dragged into their superhero lives. Two years ago, on her 21st birthday (Annie was 20 and Sky was 21, too), Stacy and her friends had gone to a Justin Beiber concert as a celebration. While at the concert, someone had dropped a mysterious glowing green liquid that quickly soaked into their skin after coming in contact. Four days later the three friends had gained strange abilities, with Sky getting the ability to fly and control water, Stacy getting control over lights and things similar and super speed, and Annie gaining the ability of invisibility and being able to control fire.

They then quickly came in contact with O'Reilly Mason, the one that gave them their powers in the form of the green goo. That resulted in them forming the Ensemble, named in honor of the roles they had acted in in an old play performed at their old school. And so, here they were, with their leader getting drunk and the only logical one being dragged down with her.

With all this thinking going on in her head, Stacy didn't hear the frantic honks of the car behind her until it was too late. "Sh-" Stacy cursed. She quickly shoved the brake into place and hurried out of the car and scurried around to the back of her car to inspect the damage.

"Oh, my car! I just had it payed off!" The driver of the other car wailed. Stacy glanced over and saw a woman with light brown hair that reached a little bit past her shoulders, with big, blue, worried eyes. She wore a simple Louisiana T-shirt with jeans, a sweater hung loosely around her shoulders.

"I'm so sorry!" Stacy gasped. "This was all my fault, I should have looked while I was backing out."

"It's fine, it's fine," the lady replied. Stacy bit her lip, then held out her hand. "Hi, I'm Stacy Pharm. Nice to meet you." The other beamed and clasped Stacy's outstretched hand into her own. "I'm Sheridan, Sheridan Baiger."

"Anyways," Stacy continued, pulling her hand back, "I feel real bad about this, so I'll help you pay it back." Sheridan bit her lip. "You sure? I don't want to be a burden." Stacy let out a short laugh. "It's fine! I'm a... um, worker at a really big company. I can totally pay it off. Ok?"
