The following morning Felix came into the living room to find Aelia and Seonghwa snuggled together, sleeping like babies. He made sure to snap a picture on his phone before starting breakfast. As the smell of coffee started to sift through the air, the two on the sofa started to stir. Seonghwa got up first, going to the bathroom before Aelia did the same. Changbin was the last one to come to the kitchen table.
«How did everyone sleep?» Binnie asked and looked around the table.
«Wonderfully,» Felix grinned, making Binnie roll his eyes.
Aelia and Hwa looked at each other for a second. Things seemed to be going well between the other two.
«I couldn't sleep, but Aelia helped.»
«We helped each other,» Aelia said, giving him a quick smile.
«Changbin, I wanted to ask you something,» Seonghwa said. He had mustered up enough courage to finally speak to the man. «Could we have a talk?»
«Yes, absolutely,» Bin said, looking happy that Hwa was moving forward.
«Thanks.»
«Aelia, maybe you and I could go out grocery shopping? You're staying here, right?»
«Yeah, if we can,» she answered Felix, looking towards Changbin.
«Yes, of course. Stay as long as you'd like. We'll get some supplies so everyone can sleep comfortably.»
«Felix and I will go shopping,» Aelia said.
Changbin put his card on the table and pushed it over to Felix.
Aelia sighed. «I wish..»
«Stop. Money doesn't matter,» Changbin said. «What matters is people. Right?»
He had put his hand on the table, and Felix grabbed it, looking at him with a tilted head.
«Right,» Felix agreed.
Aelia made sure to talk to Seonghwa alone before leaving.
«You're okay with being here with him alone?»
«Yes. You say he's my friend?»
«Yes, but you have to trust your own gut.»
«It feels okay. I need to talk to him alone.»
She nodded.
«See you later, then.»
«Be safe.»
As soon as Aelia and Felix were in the car, finally alone, they looked at each other.
«You first,» Aelia said. «How did it go, talking with Changbin?»
«Better than I could have ever thought. I always knew he was a good guy, but... I really believe him when he says he'll do anything for me.»
Aelia smiled, the warmth in Felix's eyes said a lot.
«So...» She smiled with questions in her eyes.
«Yes.» He tried to not smile but failed.
«Yes?»
«Very much yes. We didn't leave the apartment once while you were gone. We had to order food when we got hungry. And we got really hungry.»
Aelia laughed happily at Felix's words.
