"Y/N M/N L/N."
I stood abruptly, scattering the tea boxes I'd been using to make a fort while the others were chasing after Ronin.
At the door to Steep Wisdom stood my mother.Appropriately also known as, the harbinger of my doom.
"How did you find me?" I squeaked, tossing aside a tea box in my grasp. If I thought Garmadon or Kai were scary when they were angry, neither of them could hold a candle to my mother.
She fumed. Face red.
"I tracked your call," she hissed and I flinched, taking a step back. Her face softened at my expression and she inhaled deeply, rubbing her forehead. "Dammit, I did the thing again... if I have to deal with these powers subdued, how the hell are you dealing with this?"
"Apparently by jumping over the side of flying ships," I squeaked. "I- I'm sorry for hanging up on you, but I-"
"Ugh, I know, I know," she dropped her head into her hands. "You can't help the prophecy and you can't help your actions with Lloyd. I get it, it's just-"She turned her gaze to me. Such familiar eyes. I relaxed under her soft gaze.
"Y/n, you're my daughter. You are so precious to me," she said, approaching me and placing her hands gently on my shoulders. "If anything happened to you, I- I..." she trailed off, face tightening. "But know that the way your powers react with Lloyd is the way I react with you. As long as I feel that your life is in danger, I'm terrified that you're not going to come back to me and I can't help but want to be there to protect you."
"Mum..." I murmured, reaching up and sliding my hands around her wrist. I gave them a reassuring squeeze. "It's okay. I don't hate you for wanting to keep me safe. I get it."
"Sorry," she sighed. "I told Misako to keep me updated. You've already been through so much."
"It's been pretty scary," I murmured in agreement, eyes downcast. Her grip tightened.
"I want you to come home," she said, voice firm. "I want you to come home with me but- but it's your choice. There's nothing to be ashamed with retreating. They'll understand."
