Unlike humans, devils basic senses were heightened too different degrees, for some more, for some less.

Sho herself had a keen hearing and vision meant to spot trickery, foul play, and lies since it was in her nature to be the one dealing those out, so it was disconcerting to smell something being off before she could hear or see it.

She looked over her shoulder, drowning Himeno's talking out, seeing nothing.

"Sho?" Himeno looked over as the devil stopped walking.

The devil still stared before slowly turning back front, same sever look on her face, still side eyeing the surroundings as she grabbed Himeno's upper arm as she walked.

"Hey what?" The human asked, been dragged along and still not getting answers. "Sho?!"

"Keep it down." The devil said, rounding a corner and quickly grabbing the human.

Himeno's brain barely followed along, one moment she was don't in the streets, next she was held in a bridal care on top of a tall several story building with the devil standing on the railing.

"Sho put me down." She asked as the she devil did so, still standing on the ledge of the building, still staring down. "What is going on?" She was not used too such silence and seriousness from her devil, something was really off.

"We'll soon see." Sho could only answer, hoping she was not correct, unable to see what she was looking for nor hearing it but still smelling it, that was not usual for her. "Stay up here."

"Sho!" But the devil had stepped off the railing.

Himeno did have Ghost but she was unable to grab her out of the air, this smells foul and she doesn't like it.

She walked backwards before trying to open the exit to the roof but the door seemed jammed, did Sho choose this roof on purpose?

Sho might not be the oldest of any demons, she came into existence when humanity figured out lies and tricks, she was no darkness devil or the four horsemen but it had taken tho to put her in her prison so for another devil to step out as such... Either stupid or confident, or both of those.

Wide brushed through her loose hair, almost tasting dusty. (It is hard coming up with devils on the spot, for Kobeni's not published story it was easier as it follows the manga/anime much closer then Himeno or Quanxi's story)

(And I only came up with one devil right here and I will either need to nerf it or somehow figure out how to beat it. Ppl want this update, you'll meet that devil and if you have any idea do tell me as I am lost.)

"You shouldn't be on earth." The tartness of the words filled her mouth.

Looking over her shoulder at the old man, previously she just found him annoying with his staring... How did he even hide away.

Her arms and legs felt heavy, weaker, purely by looking at him, he looked like any old man, even fitting the TV show stereotype with his woolly looking greenish brown sleeveless jacket and white long sleeves shirt under it, brown pants and shoes that should have made loud noises with each step but were silent, a beret on her head, face of an old man with a white beard.

How did he even hide from her?

"I guess I have no contract with him." She told herself, these devils were hard to make contracts with.

"Is it such a surprise that I am?" Dust brushed through her body, as if his words pulled at her atoms and tried to tear them apart just because he spoke.

"Yes." She said.

"You might not be a primal fear but you are far from realizing the extent of the web of lies you twisted around yourself even if you are its creator, such a young young being, all of you."

"Why are you here?" She demanded, he should never be able to set foot on earth and much less look like a human.

"You, my dear, are playing with forced that should never be in your reach."

"Meaning?" Of course he'd waste time, feeling like her blood was drying in her veins.

"When their time comes, souls depart, such is life."

Sho gritted her teeth.

"I am not letting you take her."

Of course.

The one thing all fear had took offence with Sho meddling with the strings of fate. The fear even devils had in their seemingly eternal life. Tho for devils this fear was different but feared for a similar reason as the humans feared it.

"They all say that." His friendly smile sinister with the heavy aura around him.

Sho gulped, tightening her fists.

She'll need to figure out how the primal fear of time has crossed over or who let it out... But preferably survive this first... And if not, drag him back to hell with her so he doesn't touch her human.
