After a stressful and chaotic day at school, you said goodbye to your friends and leaped home with Sophie, Sandor and Keefe who begged to come study with you for midterms.

Fortunately when you got there, Grady, an obstacle you were hoping to pass by was trying,(and failing horribly), to feed Verdi in the pastures. He was covered in bright green feathers.

"Keefe, what are you doing here?" He asked, already looking as if he was going to give up.

"Hello to you too, Mr. Ruewen." He said with politeness it was kind of sickening.

You and the rest went inside and were soon greeted by a very cheery looking Edaline.

"Why hello there Keefe! It's lovely to see you again!" Edaline greeted with a smile.

"Oh, you're not even gonna greet your own daughter first. I see how it is." Sophie said with fake sadness in her voice.

"Well, I am her son-in-law to be," he said with a mischievous grin. Sophie blushes as a response.

Something inside of you feels like it's been stabbed, and you don't like it.

"Okay, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. Maybe someday but—"

"Mom!" Sophie exclaimed as she turned a darker shade of red. The feeling in your heart returned, but instead felt like it was shredding and tearing into tiny pieces.

"Okay, unless you're done, I'm going upstairs and actually going to study for midterms," you say with a huff.

Keefe looked like he was about to say something, but you cut him off.

"DONT!" You said with your hand in his fave to prove your point. And with that you stormed up the stairs.

KEEFE'S POV

After y/n stormed up the stairs, Sophie leaned over and whispered, "Is she okay? She seemed a bit off, y'know?"

I shrugged, not knowing the answer. "She kinda has a point, I'm pretty sure we need to study for midterms now. And even though I am a genius, you," I said booping her on the nose while say so, "need serious help with studying."

We walked up the stairs, and when we got to Foster's room, I said, "Going to the bathroom, be right back." She felt slightly confused. I smirked at her. "Don't miss me too much, Foster." I winked and walked down to the second floor, where y/n probably was.

I heard grumbling from inside the room, so when I peeked through the tiny crack through the wall, I saw her curled up in a ball on the bed, tossing and turning.

Y/N'S POV

It was Monday, so of course the universe was completely against you. Not only was Keefe flirting with Sophie downstairs, and not only were you feeling jealous knowing that it hurts to watch him flirt with other girls, but the universe decided "Hey, why not let y/n have her period today too?" You were  feeling so moody and had the worst stomach cramps ever. You weren't going studying for midterms. You wanted to stay in the bed, not having to worry about anything at the moment.

The door creaked open. You immediately knew who it was.

"Keefe, what do you want from me?" You said with your exasperating clear.

He sat down on the bed close to you and simply asked. "Are you okay?"

"NO."

"So why are you being so grumpy? I mean, you're never like this. So why now?"

"Mother Nature happened," you said, even though the pillow you were laying face flat on muffled your voice.

"As in..?" Keefe asked, still not knowing what was going on.

You sat up and groaned, turning to face him. "I'm on my period," you say, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. You decided you weren't going to explain any further than that.

You flopped back down on the bed, but on your back this time, looking up at the ceiling. The bed springs creaked and as you looked next to you, Keefe was there.

He looked up at the ceiling, deep in thought. There was silence. He soon broke it.

"I don't really know how you feel, but it looks really painful. So if you need someone's hand to squeeze, Im here," he said while stroking your knuckles with his thumb.

You smiled and whispered a small  "Thanks." He smiled in return. A charming smile that made butterflies flutter in your stomach.

Someone knocked at the door, and when no one answered, Sophie poked her head in.

"Hey y/n—" she paused when she saw Keefe laying next to you. You could see a bit of a mood shift in her, but she composed herself and continued. "I was actually just gonna ask if you've seen Keefe, but you're already together sooo..."

She walked over to Keefe and started dragging him back to go and study.

He then started groaning. "Oh come on, Foster. We were doing just fineee."

You smirked at what was happening. You remembered the unbearable pain in your stomach and called out.

"Oh yeah, before I forget, can I get a hot water bottle? For my stomach. It hurts like hell right now. Thanks." Sophie cocked her head to the side in confusion, but Keefe just gave you an understanding nod. They both left the room and closed the door.

SOPHIE'S POV

"What was that all about?" She asked. Keefe shrugged. "Don't worry 'bout it. I was just helping her out, that's all."

She was still a but uncertain, so she asked. "You sure it was nothing... more?"

Keefe chuckled. "Foster, Foster, Foster. I was just helping her. I knew you would miss me." He finished with a a wink.

"HE WAS JUST HELPING ME WITH PERIOD PROBLEMS, SOPHIE!" someone —probably y/n—yelled from down the corridor.

The brown eyed elf sighed, dragging her hands down her face. She had to admit, she was just a teeny-tiny bit jealous that he was helping her, but quickly reminded herself it was just friends helping each other out.

Anyway, she liked Fitz, right?

Right?
