Hailee's POV

It's been a year since I've been with my partner Lina who is an Attorney and we started living together 4 months ago in California. She is a lesbian and I wasn't expecting to fall for someone like her. Lina is a nice person and very loving, that's why I fell inlove with her but there is one person that I still couldn't get out of my head, Y/N. Y/N is my friend and we met 3 years ago before I met Lina. The thing is that I always like Y/N. I know it sounded so unfair to Lina. Even if I am with Lina , I still longed for Y/N. It was very confusing. I told Y/N that I like her more than a friend but she didn't say anything so I pushed my thoughts away of making a move on her so I chose to be with Lina. Me and Y/N stayed friends and it wasn't awkward and actually I like hanging out with her but sometimes when I asked her to meet up like to go for some coffee, she refused almost all the time. Lina knew about how I feel about Y/N but I told her that it's already gone , and I lied to her. Of course she got jealous so I just told her it was years ago so it shouldn't matter anymore. So I avoided myself from seeing or hanging out with Y/N even though we're just friends, I just didn't like arguing with Lina especially if it's about Y/N.

Y/N POV

I was at the beach taking a morning walk and geting some vitamins C from the sun. There are people around doing the same thing.
"Hey!" Someone called and when I turned around it was Lina. Hailee's partner. She was walking towards me.

"Oh hey Lina." I said back giving her a friendly smile.

"Can you do me a favor?"Lina asked.

"Sure I guess." I said sounding unsure about my answer.
Then suddenly, she threw a punch on my face. I fell on the sand holding my face. What the hell is wrong with her , I said to myself.

"Stay away from Hailee, do you hear me? Stay away from my girlfriend. Understand." She yelled at me and walked away leaving me confused.

"Y/N?" I heard someone and it was Reina, Hailee's friend.

"Oh my gosh, are you alright?" Reina said helping me up.

"Damn, she hit me really good." I said wiping the sand out of me.

"Why did she do that?" She asked.

"I don't know really. By the way what are you doing here Reina?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"Oh I was just walking my dog around." She answered and I nodded.

"I should probably go. You'll be okay right? Put some ice on that." Reina said.

"Oh yeah right. Thanks by the way." I said.

"No worries, see you around." She said . Then she ran away with her dog.

I walked home and did what Reina said. I put ice on my face and rest for a moment. I couldn't process what Lina just did to me. I wanted to ask Hailee about it, but I decided not to because it might cause trouble between the two of them and Lina will get mad at me more if I told Hailee.

Hailee's POV

The door opened and Lina just came home from her morning walk. I notice she looked kind of annoyed or something and she wasn't like that. Normally, she's in a good mood after her walk.

"Hey honey, are you okay?" I asked and gave her a peck on her lips.

"I'm just tired, I'm gonna go upstairs and take a rest." She answered and went upstairs.

Few hours later, Lina came down with her bags for her travel to New York since she has a hearing there.

"Have safe trip okay? " I said and she pulled me for a kiss.
