"Mom?"
Aveline's body flinched, as she stared at the blonde kid right in front of her. The blue eyes that stared right back at her were too familiar for her.
"You're my mommy right?"
The more she looks at the child, the more uneasy feeling rises inside of her.
"How could I even be your mother?" She spoke and noticed the extravagant clothes the kid wears.
"You seem like you're not from here child, are you perhaps lost? Should we go and look for your parents?"
"No, you're my mother..." The child insisted, his eyes tearing up.
Aveline became anxious when she noticed that the child was about to cry. Suddenly, it's as if someone possessed her body, she scooped up the child in her arms and coaxed him.
"Don't cry, I'll help you find your mom huh?"
"But you're my mom!"
The child shouted and started to cry in her arms, she skillfully coaxed the child and stopped him from crying.
From afar, Aveline could hear a faint cry of a child, drawing closer to where she is.
"Aveline? Evie is her--"
Mildred, who is carrying the crying Yvette was taken aback upon seeing her friend holding an unfamiliar child.
The child looks like 4 years old, and its arms were securely locked around Aveline's neck.
"That child, whose child is that?"
"I-I don't know, I need to help him find his parents."
"No! You're my mom! Look!"
Inside the child's small hands lies a small locket just about the size of his tiny palm.
Aveline's eyes widened when she saw herself inside the locket.
Beside her was a tall blonde man, she's sitting on a chair dressed in an extravagant dress, on her lap was the kid she's hugging, the only difference was, he looks younger in the picture.
"Mom! I want to be with you!"
The child pouted and looked at her with teary eyes and a red nose. Her heart ached upon seeing the child's tears rolling down his chubby cheeks. She immediately wipe the tears with her handkerchief.
"Un-no!"
Yvette, the child in Mildred's arms wriggled out and ran to hug Aveline's legs. Aveline crouched down and set the other kid beside Yvette.
"Mama" Yvette called her and run inside her arms, seeing this, the other child also went inside her arms to hug her.
Her eyes widened at the similarities between the two.
A striking beautiful blonde hair paired with a light color of blue eyes. Everyone who sees the kids would think they're siblings.
'But how can that be?'
