"Woah!"

The blasted wire threw her off balance and Lindsay was sent flying backwards on to the table that stood right behind her.

She quickly reached over and grabbed the edge of the table, only for her to pull down the slippery table cloth with her hand, which ultimately resulted in knocking over a bowl of strange liquid over a black shiny laptop that was kept beside it.

The golden liquid oozed over the keyboard and trickled down its side leaving behind a sticky trail. What was even worse, was that it was the very laptop that was being used to play the very music needed for the party.

With a flicker of lights and a sizzle of sparks, the once bright screen of the device flashed off to a somber darkness and the soft music that had once enchanted the whole room, broke off and dyed down.

The soft romantic magic that the room was once basked in vanished and was replaced by a deathly silence of annoyance and confusion.

"Lindsay!" Hoseok yelled, as he ran over to her rescue. He found the girl sprawled on the floor, clutching onto the hem of the wrecked table cloth, looking quite estranged. "Are you okay?" he gently asked her as he offered his hand to help her up.

"Oh no," Lindsay gasped while clasping her hands over her mouth, as she took in the latest disaster she had wrecked on the dead laptop. With her breathing eventually racing alongside her heart, she looked around in horror at the crowds of teenagers shooting a million exasperated and cruel glares straight in her direction.

"What the heck is going on?"

The chorus of angry voices that followed from the guests, served to be the headache that was going to plague Lindsay's head.

"Who turned the music off?"

"It was that girl! She did something to the laptop!

"Hey, turn it back on!"

"What the heck did you just do?" Lindsay gasped as she looked up from her position on the floor to meet the cold gaze of a young girl dressed in an elegant black and gold dress.

She recognized the girl from Rochelle's group from earlier. She was undoubtedly a part of Rochelle's entourage who viewed Lindsay as she was filth.

"I- I'm sorry, I- I didn't mean-" Lindsay started to desperately blabber out an apology when Hoseok stepped in front of her, forming a barrier between her and Rochelle's elegant friend.

"Leave her alone, Ashley." Hoseok sternly said, glaring at her. "It was clearly just an accident."

Then he turned to Lindsay with a softer expression before cautiously helping her up to her feet before gently taking a hold of her hand to calm her frantic figure.

"Are you alright, Lindsay?" he asked, concerned. Lindsay bit her lip and slowly nodded while appreciating the warmth in Hoseok's voice, which was a cutting contrast to the icy glares and remarks from her ruthless audience.
