HELIA HUMMED TO HERSELF AS SHE WAS STUCK painting the Ophelia Hall’s boat again, Enid managing to catch her when she was leaving her dorm that morning. She had her hair pushed back from her face with her sunglasses again, happy enough that they managed to get a spot in the shade of the school grounds. The Amontillado team hadn’t been so lucky and Helia had enjoyed watching Xavier getting slowly more frustrated in the heat.

“We have to get back to the woods,” Wednesday’s voice suddenly announced from beside her, nearly making Helia mess up her painting just as she was getting the hang of it. She leaned back on her stool, deciding to humor the girl for a second. “But Weems has been watching me like a vulture circling a carcass. I have a feeling she’s been watching you as well.”

“Yeah, she does that to me a lot,” Helia shrugged, putting her brush into a water pot by her feet. “So, what do you want me to do?”

“I need you to get Nick and Enid to cover for us,” Wednesday explained simply. “Weems will think we’re at the beekeeping club this afternoon, but it’ll just be those two in beekeeping uniforms.”

“As much as it intrigues me, I don’t think either of them will be on board with that,” Helia told her honestly. “One thing they have in common is their dislike of bugs. Besides, Enid’s busy doing painting over there and Nick’s just lazy most of the time.” Wednesday tilted her head at the girl, and the blonde sighed. “I would say get Thing to help you, but from the sounds of it, he seems pretty mad at you.”
