The art of Summoning is based on a simple principle that even a toddler could grasp.
This principle states that energy will flow from a high energy zone to a low energy zone. So in Tensura (by Fuze), the summoning of otherworlders occurs by transferring the energy of a specific spot to another, then natural laws are enacted upon the spot and an equal amount of energy is brought through; i.e. an otherworlder.
However, there are cases where beings can transport themselves to other worlds, without the need of a summoning circle. This is done by either storing the energy elsewhere, or by erasing it all together; in which case, energy brought forth from the dormant raw source of creation somewhere in larger multiverse.
There are cases where someone is randomly summoned without the need of a circle. This is due to fluctuations in energy densities that is caused by a myriad of reasons.
The above is relevant only for summoning of a being outside of the universe.
When considering summoning within the universe, some energy source is used to bridge the gap between the different dimensions, however this has the unintended side-effect of creating a minor energy deficiency.
And that, my fellow no life rimuru/ciel/luminous simp, is how you could enter the Cardinal World. Now get to writing the crossover fanfics without using the excuse of "because plot"...
