Naruto sat alone in his small apartment, staring blankly at the wall. His once bright and energetic personality had faded away, leaving behind a shell of his former self. The weight of his past failures and losses had become too much to bear.
As he sat there in silence, a faint knocking at the door interrupted his thoughts. Slowly making his way to answer it, Naruto was surprised to see his old friend Shikamaru standing on the other side.
