Karina's P.O.V

I woke up because of the sound of sniffing beside me. As soon as I opened my eyes, all I see was a white room. I look beside me and saw my ex crying beside me while holding my hand.

Why is she here? 

"Where's Winter?" That's the first thing I said when I opened my eyes completely. She removed her hands from me, noticing I was staring at it.

I forgot that my girlfriend is out of the country. I want her by my side, not Ryujin. But I don't have any energy to open up about it.

"She was here earlier, but left again for work." She explained. She was here? I should've woken up a little earlier if I knew she was here for me.

I miss you, love.

"Why are you crying?" I asked her. She tried wiping her tears secretly and flinched when I asked.

"What? No. I'm not crying." She chuckled a bit but I know that was fake.

"I know you were." She sighed in defeat.

"I just felt sorry. For everything that happened. And for hurting you." She told me. I know I shouldn't just ignore what she said because I felt her sincerity while saying that.

"It's ok. It's already done and we have no choice but to live with it." I smiled lightly at her. I do forgive her since I don't want to live with anger and what-ifs in my mind while being with Winter who deserved nothing but the world.

"I just hope you would stop taking me away from Winter because I genuinely love her and I can't take it if I lose her again. I loved you too but it was already in the past and I think we should both accept that we aren't meant to be for each other anymore. We should move forward and be thankful for our memories together." I told her genuinely and now she knows I meant it genuinely.

"I hope we can be friends again, not now because I'm still trying to move on from you, but I hope we will be soon." She said before smiling at me genuinely. We smiled at each other when someone entered.

"Hey, you're awake. Winter told me to take this for you." Yeji entered the room giving us the food she was holding. Ryujin was about to stand up and leave when Yeji spoke.

"Hey, you should also eat. Winter also bought one for you. She's thankful for being there for Karina." Yeji smiled at her. Ryujin didn't argue anymore because she knows Winter wouldn't take no for an answer.

"Thank her for me." Ryujin and I started eating while watching the news on tv.

Winter's P.O.V

Chaeryeong and I just landed in America and we went straight to my company because of a meeting with one of the most important people in our company.

"I heard Karina's awake. You should text her." Chaeryeong said beside me. She was the one driving now.

Now I just have to wait for her response.

We arrived at the company and Karina replied at the same time. So I was walking while using my phone.

Good thing she ate the food I gave her. Did Ryujin also eat hers? I don't know if she's mad at me or not but I also gave her some food to eat for being there for my girlfriend.

"Hey, Bub. How are you?" I look up to see the owner of that voice. She spread her arms signaling me to hug her which I gladly accepted.

"She's tired," Chaeryeong answered for me. I broke the hug and went straight to my phone screen and heard Chaeryeong and Ria bickering.

"How come I don't have any heartwarming hugs?" Chaeryeong sulked which earned a chuckle from Ria.

"You can handle yourself. You don't look tired." Chaeryeong crossed her arms because of Ria's backfire.

"Anyway, there's a lot of papers on Winter's table. You should take a look at them, Bub." Chaeryeong and I agreed as I messaged Karina again.

"Let's go, bub." That nickname was made by Ria. She made it when we first met because she said it was the opposite of my aura. Bubbly.

Where did she even get that thought?

The meeting just finished and it turned out great than I expected. I leaned on my chair after bidding my goodbyes to them and groaned when I heard the door open.

"Look who needs some drink." Ria barged in while holding a bottle of wine and champagne in both of her hands with Chaeryeong behind her holding some glasses.

"We're drinking almost every day now. Should we go and have our lungs checked?" I said before taking a sip of champagne that Ria gave me.

"Said someone who already took a sip." Ria jokingly said. We all chuckled and have a toast. I can't deny, these two made my stay here in America better than I've ever expected.

"Why are you so focused on your work anyways? It's not like you won't extend your stay here. Take it slow, Win." Chaeryeong said. 

"She wants to finish it early so she could watch her girlfriend's performance," Ria revealed. I just glared at her since I don't have any plans on telling Chaeryeong yet.

"Oh, I see." Chaeryeong didn't say anything anymore and just agreed.

After finishing one bottle of champagne, we drink the wine next and I can't deny, we're all getting tipsy because of it. Ria and Chaeryeong are both red now and that means I am probably red now too.

"I miss her." I suddenly blurted out and I can feel my eyes forming a tear.

"Why don't you call her, Win?" Ria suggested and I honestly think It's not a bad idea. She should be awake by now.

I called her at the same time that Ria excused herself to go to the bathroom.
