10 Years Later:-
"How many of them are there, Al?" I asked Alessandra, invading the seemingly deserted building of Hyenas, they are obstructing our path.
Whenever our shipments pass from here, they never return so I had to look into this matter and it was Axel again, not letting us work in peace.
"It's so full and we wonder where all the shipment went." I muttered, reloading my gun, ready to ambush this building alone.
"30. Ten on the first floor and five on each." She replied, being our sharp shooter, she told me. "Take care of the rooftop, I will handle the rest, keep me secure." I ordered coldly, holding my dual guns, cleaning up the whole area within an hour.
"Tsk, peasants." I hissed, putting my foot over the face of the last survivor. It was not easy, my arm was bleeding because I got shot too. I have bruises all over me but I must return alive.
"P-Please.. Let me go." He cried, trying to move but I shot his hand.
"Hmm?" I hummed, arching a brow and killed him as well.
"Did you kill them all?" Alessandra asked on our way back.
"Yeah, they were useless. They were given the job to become an obstacle to our path." I muttered, leaning my head back.
"I see. We have to do something about Axel." She sighed, shaking her head in disappointment.
"There's no one to tame him. He is running wild since there is no leader to tame us pillars. We were under Valencia's orders. She died, we scattered." I replied harshly, lowering my gaze.
"We are not the aces of the underworld that could survive on our own. Look at Alphonse Jude, he is there in France. Right next to us but we couldn't step on his land let alone to graze his skin." I continued in a growl, infuriated at myself.
I was so strong yet I couldn't do anything.
"He holds the ultimate protection of Sebastian Stellios, The Black Death. Do you know what we are compared to the aces? Ants." She smirked coldly, rolling her eyes off.
It was true. We have no value before the five aces.
"But, why are you worrying? Your man stands number one on that list. What do you fear?" She added, hitching my breaths upon the mention of the one for whom I prayed deeply.
"Do you know? Father is thinking about calling Plague Doctor to reach an agreement and have his ultimate protection from Axel. We need him and he should return the favor of us sheltering him for years."
My whole being stopped when the mention of his name came. Is he coming back?
"Nathaniel Alroy...?" I asked hesitantly and she nodded but soon a smirk came to her lips.
"But too bad you can't see your hero." She evoked my dreams only to steal them in the end.
"Why?" I asked, almost furious.
"You had to seduce Dante and steal his business information. You will be busy by the time he arrives. Orders over feelings after all." She teased me but I glared at her.
Orders over feelings...
I wish I could have understood the depth of those words before.
"That measly job can wait." I growled, getting out of the car. I could feel my heart racing with a smile coming to my lips just by thinking about Nathaniel. I couldn't bring myself to be away from him.
So what if he no longer remembers? I do. And I will. Always.
"Oh, who would have thought that beast could make you smile like this." She smirked, pushing me with her shoulder but I shook my head, knowing the feelings he gives me are explicitly bliss. I cannot defy them.
