This is a story without any romantic elements (at least for now). Instead, it focuses on the friendships and bonds between characters, as they create a new family. There may be some instances where the characters behave differently than what you're used to seeing in canon.

There was an undeniable irony to be found in this situation, but he really didn't have the willpower to look into it deeper. Not while sitting in a dark, smelly alleyway in the middle of a city that is slowly but surely crying out for his blood. Blood of Shin family.
In the back of his head, he figured it made sense for them to hate him, he was a bully and a son of a murderer who was poisoning them while simultaneously cheerfully smiling at them. It was expected to feel betrayed after being fooled by the kind facade. Hyeok-Woo knew the man behind the mask so much better than the major who was more of a stranger to him, one he only encountered when his presence was essential for a public event when he was younger and cute and painted the major as a kind, loving family man who is doting single dad despite his many duties. But really, it's not that he ever spent that much time with the man, though it made sense for him to feel their hatred when he only lived off of the dirty money gathered at the expense of people who didn't know better. Hyeok-Woo was more confused by people who were still supporting his father than those who hated him.
He stared at the sky, high above the buildings. He wondered how it would feel to fly away from all of this. But where would he go? He knew English well enough to travel abroad but to live there on his own? But still, he couldn't stay where he was right now, he couldn't stay back and watch his dad get released and continue with his plans, and since he didn't end up finishing what he started in the hospital, he had to leave. It was sorta funny, he dreamt of flying when he was too weak even to walk.
Part of him is sneering at his weakness Get up already, are you an animal to be sitting in the dirt? Why are you being so fucking dramatic over this, you're fucking okay, aren't you? Fine, stay there then, you're nothing but worthless trash anyway. It sounds like his dad. He blinked at the thoughts and snorted which turned to a chain of coughs escaping his lungs. "Damm this smell."
"Are you okay?" He was startled at the new, but not unfamiliar voice. Only then he noticed a guy standing around the corner of the street. A guy with curls and a face he knew all too well.
He closed his eyes and groaned "Go away."
For a moment, the sound of steps echoed in the street and Hyeok-Woo almost let out a breath of relief, before he noticed the steps growing louder.
He opened his eyes again only to see So Mun standing directly in front of him."Didn't you hear me, what are you standing there for? Fuck off already." He cursed under his breath while getting up. Hyeok-Woo turned to leave.
"Wait-" So Mun grabbed him by his wrist.
"Don't touch me!" He pulled his arm back, stepping away from So Mun who stared at him with a frozen look of surprise. Hyeok-Woo raised his eyebrow at the stupid expression. A moment passed before So Mun finally cleared his throat and lowered his arms, instead stuffing them in the pockets of his black jacket. "Can we talk?"
Hyeok-Woo swallowed, the former cripple looked guilty all of the sudden as insane as it sounded, and he didn't know how to react to that "What is there to talk about between us two?" He shot back.
"A lot, actually. It's important." So Mun insisted.
"I'm baffled because you look so serious." He huffed.
Still, So Mun didn't budge "I am, it's a matter of life and death. Please."
Hyeok-Woo showed a perplexed expression at the situation, but after a while, nodded slightly "... Fine."
