(Y/N)'s POV

The last day of the summer session came all too quickly.

The campers had one last meal together. We burned part of our dinner for the gods. At the bonfire, the senior counselors awarded the end-of-summer beads.

I sat next to Percy and watched as he got his own leather necklace. I smirked when he blushed after looking at the bead for his first summer.

I looked down at mine, adding it to my necklace. The design was pitch black, with a sea-green trident shimmering in the center.

I clapped him on the back, grinning at him. He smiled back, his face still red. He was trying to hide it.

"The choice was unanimous," Luke announced. "This bead commemorates the first Son of the Sea God at this camp, and the quest he undertook into the darkest part of the Underworld to stop a war!"

The entire camp got to their feet and cheered. I did as well. Even Ares's cabin felt obliged to stand. Athena's cabin steered Annabeth to the front next to me so she could share in the applause.

...

That night, the dream was back. It only now hit me that I hadn't had this dream since getting back from the quest.

"The end of summer for Camp Half-Blood and things continue to occur. It has been quite interesting," said the first voice.

The other one sounded bored. "I know. He has the boy under his influence. She stirs in her sleep, almost restlessly."

"That boy is about to pull something. He will most likely reveal himself. I cannot wait to see that. The reaction on everyone's faces is going to be priceless!"

"I will admit things will start to get interesting."

"Of course. The war that was foretold in the Great Prophecy is coming. I cannot wait!"

"I planned for this war to be the perfect opportunity for the child to prove himself. And he shall have no shortage of potential enemies."

"Ah, you mean the siblings of the Crooked One. There will be many players in this coming war. I hear that the sisters are picking sides. In fact, one has already made her choice."

"Indeed. If the boy could face one in battle and succeed..."

"That is a big if. You really expect the boy to win a fight like that?"

"Not right now, no. But if the powers continue to grow...well, we shall just have to see. So long as the power grows, I will constantly watch over everything."

"The Fates have their eyes on him. Sooner or later they may confront him. What would you do then?"

"Let them talk, I say. The Fates are inconsequential. Let them realize just how useless they really are."

I woke up then. I groaned and rubbed my head. Luke walked over to me.

"Hey, sleepy head. Everyone's already up. Oh, here's this year's summer form." He handed me the summer form.
