Yang X Blake Lemon
In honor of Bumblebee being officially canon here is a special fic for the happy couple! Finally after 9 volumes they are together!!
I hope you guys enjoy it
It's been a few years since team RWBY and team JNR had defeated Salem. Yang and Blake have made a home together, quite literally by scratch. It took them a summer to build the home, it was a nice farmhouse in Patch. Made of love and a lot of wood and help from family and friends. In the meantime they were staying with Tai. And today was officially moving day! Ruby and team JNR came to help the couple.
"Where do you want these boxes?!" Jaune yelled from the front door, the stack wobbling as he struggled to rebalance himself.
Weiss ran up to him and caught a box that was about to drop.
"Jaune! You've gotta be more careful! Also those are all for the kitchen. They have blue stickers, I gave you a key for the colors!" She pointed to the clipboard hung on a coat hanger in the mud room. "Look at the board and look at the sticker on the box."
Weiss took it very seriously, she color coded each room and their corresponding boxes. She made sure the boxes were in the right rooms.
"Can someone double check what color red goes!?" Ruby shouted over her stack of boxes.
"Bedroom 1 Ruby!" Blake shouted.
Ruby yelled a thank you and ascended the stairs. Yang was already in the room unpacking her clothes and putting them in the dresser or hanging them up. Yang turned around and greeted Ruby and took the boxes. Blake appeared in the doorway and walked up to Yang, grabbing a box and opening it she began putting up their curtains. They were a nice sultry black, with lace accents on the bottoms.
"I'm so excited for when the house is put together." Blake said. Sliding a curtain onto a black shiny rod.
"I am too, I don't know how much longer we could've made it at my dad's house. Another slick joke and I would've lost it." Yang replied.
Blake chuckled and finished setting up the first set, beginning on the second window of three.
"Are you all done with the downstairs?" Yang asked.
"Oh no I just told Weiss and Ren what we wanted and they took it over, they insisted I helped up here." Blake explained.
Odd but not new.
Yang completed the wardrobes and began unpacking decor. Their huntress certificates were hung proudly in the landing before the hallway of bedrooms. Fake flowers were set down on top of the dresser in the bedroom. A witty bathroom pun in a frame was hung up above the upstairs bathroom. Blake walked in the bathroom and set up the shower curtain and brought in their hygiene products. Yang began to put away soaps and hair care in the drawers. Blake placed a candle on a shelf above the toilet and lit it. She put more fake flowers in the bathroom, in a small vase on the same shelf as the candle.
Yang stared at her, seeing her dark hair flow over her shoulders, it was long again and reached her middle back now. She took in Blake's thoughtful face as she pondered on what else should be added. How the light from the delicate flame gave her dark hair a glow. Blake turned to Yang confused till she realized why she was staring at her.
"Do you need something honey?" Blake questioned.
Yang stuttered and went back to work, putting a bit too much thought into how the toothbrushes sat in the holder.
"You know…I'm pretty excited to be able to break in the new bed." Blake flirted.
"I am too, hopefully we don't break it like the last one." Yang winked.
"You two are helpless." Weiss interjected with a smirk. "The downstairs is all done."
The two whip around to see Weiss standing with her arms crossed. She rolled her eyes and waved her arm to have them follow. They walked down the stairs.
"Oh my God! It's beautiful!" Blake exclaimed.
The kitchen was a beautiful purple and white theme, with checkered hand towels and accents in the kitchen, the backsplash was black marble tile with tile countertops that match. The curtains were purple and white matching the hand towels. There were yellow flowers on the wooden dining table. Ren was already busy in the kitchen. Making sandwiches and pouring glasses of lemonade.
Yang walked into the living room, the colors changing to yellow and brown. The curtains were brown and the coffee table was the same brown, the couch was yellow with purple accent pillows. The TV was hung on the wall with photos of the couple and their friends and family hung on the walls. There was a space left above the couch for a photo.
"It'll be for your guys wedding photo." Ruby posed showing off the space.
"Awww it's so sweet." Yang gave Ruby a noogie. Ruby struggled to get her grip loose. Blake smiled and laughed.
"How are you guys doing upstairs?" Nora asked.
"We're I'd say half way done at least, we still need to unpack the office stuff and some more wall decor…wait where's our crest?" Yang asked.
"I'll check the cars and the van!" Nora rushed out.
Blake froze.
"Yaaang, we're missing THE box." Blake whispered.
"The box? Theee booox?? THE BOX!" Yang harshly whispered.
"The box?" Ren asked, coming out of the kitchen with a platter.
"OH it's nothing! It just has some memorables in it." Blake nervously chuckled. Then subtly turned to Yang "Go check in the office, it shouldn't have a label it was in our car." Yang nodded and ran up the stairs.
Blake went outside and saw Nora looking in their car. Nora pulled out a box with no label. Blake rushed over and took the box from her.
"Hey thanks for finding this, it has some of Yang and I's memorables in it!" Blake smiled.
"No problem I wasn't able to find the crest though sadly." Nora apologized.
"I found it!" Yang popped up in the window with the crest it was a flaming belladonna flower made of metal that was gifted to them by Blake's parents.
The two went back inside and Blake nonchalantly put the box she had upstairs in their closet. Yang ran into her in the room.
"That was close really close." Yang sighed.
They went back downstairs and had lunch with everyone. Nora finished washing plates and their friends lined up at the door, bidding farewells and good wishes. Ruby stuck behind for a moment and gave the couple a house warming gift, it was swords, Ravens sword and one that Raven had made for Tai.
"What the-"
"Your mom came to my place last night. She gave these to me and said to give them to you, she grabbed dad's from the house and left a note that she took it for this. She got a new sword herself so she figured that you having this one was better than it becoming scrap. She said you could display them somewhere together." Ruby explained.
"Wow I-" Yang stuttered.
Yang hugged Ruby and thanked her then Ruby left. She wished that Raven came herself but was happy nonetheless. Blake laid her head on her shoulder and wrapped her arm around her.
"Where would you like to put them?" Blake questioned.
"How about in the office?" Yang suggested.
Blake agreed and they hung up the swords. One crossing the other.
