They ate dinner in the office that night, the adults not really wanting Izuku going up and down the stairs while he was still prone to dizzy spells. They gathered around the big desk, comfortable chairs and stools from Yamada's studio pulled up.

The food was yummy, as usual. But Izuku felt himself quickly flagging at the normal end-of-day chatter. Hizashi noticed him starting to doze off over his nearly empty plate and reached over to tap the back of his hand with a smile. "Hey kiddo, Chiyo said you could try for a shower tonight as long as you cover your stitches with the waterproof bandages. Do you want to, or would you rather wait for the morning?"

Suddenly the teen was hyper aware of his greasy curls. They had gotten most of the blood and dirt off of him using rags and warm water at the hospital. But after a few days of sitting in the residues a shower really did sound heavenly.

He gave the man his best puppy dog eyes, not even having to give him his answer verbally before the voice hero was laughing and nodding. "I'll help you cover the stitches once I'm done eating kiddo. Before you go gather your stuff though I just need to let you know that we have some workers coming in to fix some things downstairs tomorrow. We planned to have them here while you were gone and Sho and Hitoshi were training so they wouldn't be too disruptive. But well, that's not really an option now. If they're too loud for you to rest let me know and I'll set you up a futon in my studio ok?"

The teen waved a hand dismissively. "Th-that's ok! It's my f-fault I'm here anyways s-s-so theres n-no need to go out o-of your way!"

The blonde frowned at him, but it was his husband who replied first. "Midoriya. Just because you had to come home early doesn't mean you're in any way a bother. We are all just glad you're ok. And that you're still here to be able to rest and recover."

Green eyes blinked up at the dark hero in confusion. Obviously a bit unsure of what to say in that situation. Yamada sighed quietly and reached over to gently ruffle short curls with a small smile. "Go grab a change of clothes kiddo. I'll meet you in the bathroom in just a minute."

The teen nodded and stood slowly before shuffling off down the hall. Hitoshi started gathering up dishes. "I'll get started on cleaning while ya'll do that." His blonde foster father smiled up at him. "Thanks kiddo! I'll be down in a bit so just leave the pots and pans to me ok?"

Shouta just grunted and took half of the plates before Hitoshi could hoist them. "I'd rather you got down the stairs without an incident." Without saying anything else he walked off, carrying his part of the dishes to the far off sink. Lime and lilac shared a quietly amused glance at the grumpy man's antics before Hitoshi followed after him obediently.

The last few days of internship week passed fairly peacefully. Izuku did end up napping in the floor of the soundproofed studio for an afternoon. A loud noise just so happened to startle him awake just as Aizawa was peeking in to check on him that morning and he put his foot down against any protests.

Nezu and him had a short class over video chat on Sunday. Only his second or third with the rat but just like the other times he felt like he stepped away with a whole new wealth of knowledge to draw upon. And as intimidating as the small mammal was he really did find himself looking forwards to the next lesson.
