The smell of coffee stirs you awake in the early morning. You're confused for a few moments being in an unfamiliar space until you remember you're on a long overdue vacation with your husband. A light breeze rustles the curtains of the lakefront lodge you rented, glimmers of sunlight reflect off the water, the early morning chill makes you shiver so you put on your slippers and don your robe before heading down stairs. You find your adorable man, Seungkwan, in the kitchen wiping the countertop with a bunch of paper towels, mumbling something under his breath.

You let out a laugh through your nose. "What are you doing?"

He startles a bit as he notices you. "I was trying to make drip coffee for us both and the filter tore and I ended up spilling water and grounds everywhere. I was going to bring it to you in bed as a surprise." He kisses your forehead and hugs you as you wrap your arms around his waist.

"Awww, that's okay. Can I help? I want to help."

"Sure, of course. Let me clean this up and we'll redo it."

The two of you clean up and start the process all over again in comfortable silence. Loving giggles and soft touches passing between you two as your drinks come together. Seungkwan pours the hot water, and you lean into his back and hug him from behind, inhaling a deep content breath. His scent is warm and fresh making your heart swell and feeling complete bliss as you close your eyes and relax into him.

He pours the coffee into the glasses of ice with a straw you prepared. "They're done. Let's go sit on the deck, okay?"

"That sounds good."

You try to grab your cup, but he holds it higher in refusal, a smirk on his face as if he's daring you to challenge him. He balances both drinks and his phone in his hands so that you don't have to carry a thing walking to the deck off the side of the kitchen. He sets the drinks down on the small table and holds the patio chair for you as you sit down. He's such a gentleman. Moving his chair closer to yours as he queues up a ballad to play, you take a sip of your Americano and sink into your chair as the first notes play and you smile at each other. The sun has gotten higher in the sky creating sparkles across the water and a rainbow of colors in the sky. Seungkwan grabs your hand and draws slow comforting circles with his thumb.

The morning couldn't be any more perfect.
