At the high school, Infirmary...
Second Person's POV
"Sensei, is my friend okay?"
"Don't worry. He is completely unharmed. You did a great job acting quick to protect him, Sakamaki-san."
You ran a hand through your hair, relief shining on your face after the school doctor informed you of Shion's well-being. Shion, who was sitting on a drafting stool, still hung his head low while averting his gaze from meeting yours. You were aware of his odd silence and his behavior was concerning you.
"Sensei, I know he isn't hurt but can my friend stay here for a while?"
"Sure. I will inform the other teachers regarding this. Madarame-kun, take it easy and just relax here, alright?"
Gaining permission from the school doctor, you smiled appreciatively at her. She stood up from her chair and excused herself, leaving the infirmary to meet up with another student who had injured herself; it was none other than Mai, the one you punched with all your might earlier. Once the female doctor vanished from your sight, you grabbed Shion's hand then ushered him to a vacant bed. You motioned him to sit down on the plushy bed.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah... I guess.
"I see. Then you better stay here and get enough rest. I will be returning to class-"
"...don't go."
Shion meekly held your hand, stopping you from leaving him alone. You stared at his big hand intertwining with yours. "Shion, I can't miss class right now."
"No, don't leave me." Shion was on the verge of begging. He was desperate to keep you by his side but he was too nervous to admit his true feelings right now.
He wanted you by his side to comfort him. He wished to be embraced by you right now while you whisper words of solace to him.
You were in dilemma before your eyes trailed to the clock hanging on the wall. Morning class might have begun by now but you were reluctant to leave Shion all alone. He appeared needy for various reasons and you understood him too well.
He must have felt offended from all the insults thrown at him by Mai.
Shion, despite the tough and arrogant demeanor he displayed, in reality bore the heart as fragile as tissue. He was easily hurt and offended by people's negative comment toward him yet he never put on his sad face. He would bottle up the pent-up sorrow until his feelings overflow.
Shion's lips quivered as the word "please" desperately tried to escape his mouth. His hands travelled up to your shoulders before he boldly pulled you to his body, hugging you with neediness.
"I need you right now. Can you stay back for me? P...please." Shion restlessly asked, his heart thumping loudly against his chest. As much as he badly wanted you by his side, he was still conflicted to lower his ego as a man. God, he was behaving so submissively that he became embarrassed of his own self.
