I know that she's hiding something. I know my mom. She's not telling me something about "Mr. James". I decided to push that out of my mind for now. My heart was still racing and I didn't need another thing to worry about.

And of course, that is when the turbulence decided to strike. I felt the plane jolt and I panicked. I curled to the side and grabbed ahold of Jamie's arm. Unfortunately, she was the closest person to me. Oh God. What do I do now? I honestly don't really care at the moment. I squeeze my eyes shut tight and I continue to hold onto Jamie.

I got kind of nervous when I felt her pull her arm back. I haven't looked at her face once. I was way too embarrassed. But as soon as she retracted her arm, I felt her wrap it around me and hold me firmly.

Oh my god. I'm terrified, but there are so many butterflies that just fluttered around in my stomach. She felt so warm. I was so comfortable against her. Her scent was intoxicating as well. She kind of smelled like pine and expensive cologne.

The turbulence lasted for another forty minutes. And Jamie held me the entire time. She ended up caressing my thick hair with her free hand. It was so calming. By the time the turbulence let up, I wasn't even scared anymore. I felt so safe in her arms. I decided not to let go, and neither did she.

I ended up falling asleep, but was shaken awake by Jamie a couple hours later. She leaned down to my head that was now in her lap and whispered, "rise n' shine, love. The plane had landed to acquire some more fuel. How about we get you a bit to eat, yeah?" I looked at her and nodded, still groggy from my nap.

I lifted my head and heard her immediately begin to chuckle.

"What is it?" I asked.

She shook her head, but continued to smirk. I reached up to touch my hair when I realized just how frizzy it had gotten. Half of my hair was in all different directions, while the other side was flat.

"Oh my god" I gasped, wide eyed, touching my hair.

Jamie burst out laughing, but quickly grabbed by hand that was patting my hair down.

"Here, allow me" she said calmly. She scooted so close to me that our legs were touching, and I could see her eyes so clearly. She began to run her fingers through my hair.

"Your hair is quite long, darling" she said with a strong accent.

"Is that bad?..." I asked.

"No. Quite the opposite actually" she relayed casually.

"Oh" I said blushing so hard. I tried to avoid eye contact, and shifted my head slightly to the side. My face got even hotter when she untangled her fingers from my hair and grabbed my chin, moving it to face her.

She was a lot taller than me, so my head was tilted back, making it even harder to catch my breath. I was in a state of shock.

"Why are you having such a hard time looking at me, sweetheart? She asked with a smirk.

"I'm not- It's just-" I froze, and she looked back at me amused with one eyebrow raised.

"Mia" she said lightheartedly.

"Yes..?" I was nervous to hear what she was going to say next.

"That's a beautiful name. Mia. It just feels good on the tongue."

"Thank you" I said sheepishly.

"Of course, love. If there's anything you need from me, all you have to do is ask" she said slyly before pulling back and standing up to go find something to eat while the plane was still grounded.

I'm glad she was gone for a little bit. I needed some time for my body to cool down from all the burning that woman has been causing. I exhaled deeply and looked over to see that my mom was still sleeping like a log. No surprise there. That woman can sleep through a damn tornado if you'd let her.

After about fifteen minutes, Jamie came back and whispered something to Jason on her way back to her seat. Jason nodded and shook my mom to wake her up. It took him a couple minutes, but she finally got up. He convinced her to go with him to get her some real food before the plane departed again. I immediately became ten times more nervous. My mom told me that she'd be back soon as Jamie handed me a container of what looked to be sushi. How the hell did she know my exact sushi order? Right down to the extra dip container of spicy mayo.

I took the sushi from her and thanked her. "How did you know that spicy tuna is my favorite?" I asked curiously.

She began to study my face. "I think that's the longest sentence you've said to me thus far" she finally said.

"Oh-uh yeah, I guess"

"You blushing and being so shy is adorable" she said, staring at me.

"Oh-"

"But that southern accent is so cute, you ought to speak more often, darling."

My face started burning up again. She chuckled to herself. She's messing with me. Am I that obvious? I sat up straight in my seat and I turned to face her. I was suddenly filled with a sense of confidence.

"I want to know more about you" I stated confidently.

"Is that so?" She asked amused.

Her pale blonde hair matched her light complexion well. I couldn't stop staring at her.

"Yes, actually. You seem to know so much about me already."

I waited for her to reply, but she only just continued to study my face.

"Jamie, I'm serious! Who are you?" I pleaded .

"Ask your questions, love" she finally said.

"Okay...how old are you?"

"I'm 20."

"How do you know so much about me?"

"It's part of my job description."

"What is your job description?"

"Next question." She said stiffly.

"Okay...will you be with me for the whole of our move, or just the flight?"

"I will be here as long as you want me here. That part is your choice. Mr. James would prefer if I stay by your side, but he made it clear that he will not force you to have a personal guard. However, he requires that there be guards in the vicinity at all hours."

I looked at her confused. "So you're like supposed to protect me?"

"Yes."

"From like, bad guys?"

"Sure."

"Are you dangerous?"

"Never to you."

"But to others?"

"I can be, yes."

"Are you like a trained assassin?" I asked jokingly. She cleared her throat uncomfortably.

"Oh my god, you're a trained assassin" I said in shock.

"Yes."

"Am I in danger?", I asked, frightened. Why do I need so many guards, and a TRAINED ASSASSIN?

"Not as long as you're with me, sweetheart."

"You're pretty flirty for a trained assassin, ma'am." I said still in disbelief.

"I prefer 'Sir'. She said while staring into my eyes intensely. "I didn't know I was the one who was flirting. It seemed to me like you can't keep your eyes off of me now." She said seductively.
