Izuku panted out panicked breaths as he dodged yet another spike of concrete as a wave of them shot out from the floor, chasing the young hero who had stepped in to save them. The greenette was trying to slip towards Overhaul unnoticed, his slap dash plan consisting of getting to Eri and getting her out. It might not have many steps but he considered what it did have vitally important.
Overhaul's last goon was downed as was Kurai. Inko was somewhere beyond the first row of spikes, trying to wake the two men and get them back in the fight. Izuku was thankful he wasn't having to fight his way through them as well as the rioting tunnels. He honestly doubted if he had the energy left to do much more than what was absolutely necessary in that moment. The loss of far too much blood the night before and the light lunch that day truly took their toll on his energy level and thought processes. The small teen rolled out of the way of a chunk of debris before sliding into the villain's blind spot. Ready and waiting for his chance.
It came as the blonde hero dodged a swipe from a dangerous hand. Green eyes locked on Overhaul's slipping grip on Eri. Within a second Izuku was dashing from his hiding spot, yanking the girl free and tossing her back down the hall towards freedom. "Eri! Go get the heroes! Let them know wh-where we are!" He had to pray the girl listened as a furious mob boss was now lashing out at him. He managed to move out of the way enough to miss the first few swipes. But his luck ran out as his ankle turned sharply on a loose chunk of concrete.
Terrifying fingers latched onto his wrists, using them to yank him back towards the monster they were trying to escape. The boy was maneuvered to be back to chest with his nightmare. A hand latched around his throat threateningly. Green eyes watched as his savior came up short, a tiny shadow hidden behind him.
"Eri. Run!" The greenette yelled as forcefully as he could, startling the little girl into action. She took off, and Izuku heard Overhaul growl before starting to call her back. With the last of his energy the small teen twisted and drove one of his elbows back and up into the man's diaphragm. He choked on the air as it left him before doubling over and tightening his grip on the tanned skin in his grasp.
Izuku's world dissolved into needles and heat. By the time he was able to see through the static Overhaul had recovered and was holding his limp body as a shield, threatening the hero student with using his quirk on the smaller boy yet again. The freckled teen tried to squirm to see if he had any leeway, but the arm across his chest felt like a steel band and the hand around his neck tightened in warning against his probing movement.
Izuku complied, his body not really feeling up to moving much at that moment anyways. Instead he did his best to look beyond the flowing red cape of the teen standing in Overhaul's way. Desperately trying to see if Eri really had followed his instructions.
A delicate voice cursing up a storm in… decidedly not curse words alerted them to the fact that Inko was approaching them from behind and to the right where her little hidey hole had been. "Both of them are truly out of commission sir… where's the girl?"
Overhaul growled and gave Izuku a shake. "The little brat here decided to play hero. We will have to go back to find her once I finish off this annoying little fly. We still need our main ingredient after all." The teen in his grip gritted his teeth at Eri yet again being called an ingredient, but wisely kept his mouth shut.
The hero student across from them had no such survival instincts though and took a stance. "That will not happen. My name is Lemillion, and my goal is to save one million people! And these two kids will definitely be some of that goal."
