A group of adults sat solemnly around a conference table. The sun was setting on UA and while they would all love to go home and crawl into their beds they knew they still had some things to go over before that could happen.

Things like a treatment plan for the trauma the two rescued kids had obviously endured. Said kids were settled in the infirmary, napping and surrounded by hero students, and one specific support genius. After a debrief that scarred all of the adults who had listened to it and a couple of quick scans for lasting damage to their bodies they had all but collapsed when told to rest.

There had been some issues during their check ups, obvious issues pertaining to needles for one thing. That of course made plenty of sense when the debrief was taken into consideration of course. So no one had said anything when Eri refused to sleep by herself. Instead, take up a spot tucked into Izuku's side on the green teen's bed. She had watched everyone with a silent and judging gaze until her eyes were too heavy to keep open and she fell asleep.

Seeing the two of them curled up together was as adorable as it was heartbreaking. And Shouta was already planning what needed to be changed in their last guest room to make it a better space for such a small kid. Because he knew his husband was already gone for their new kid.

But first they needed to finish filing paperwork and all of the other boring parts of heroing so they could get the kids home. So they split up the tasks, Tsukauchi calling CPS while heroes who were on the raid filled out reports and Nezu called in favors. Hatsume running in between them all and helping where she could.

It might take them a few hours, but all of them were determined to go home that night. So they worked away at all that needed doing with a single mindedness similar to hyperfocus.

They made it back to the Yamazawa household right before midnight. Midnight had been nominated to take Denki and Shouto home, their parents (or sister) worried about how much they had been away. So it was just the Yamazawas and the Hatsumes.

Instead of trying to pry a sleepy Eri away from an exhausted Izuku the adults instead grabbed all of the spare blankets and such from around the house and made a large pile on the living room floor. Mei and Shinso making quick work of making it into a comfortable mess.

Shinso ended up taking the couch, not wanting to crowd the floor too much, and Mei the space closest to the window. That left the other two plenty of room to nest down. As the adults left to head upstairs and get the guest room turned down for Mia the four kids were already starting to drift. Nothing but a few more quiet murmurs between them as they all finally relaxed after so many tense days spent in worry.

Hizashi made sure he left the cat room light on so they could see if they woke up in the night before following the other two up. He didn't want to leave his kids alone, but he could admit that if he wanted to be in any way functional to help them when they needed it then he needed sleep. Several days of restless dozing in chairs or on the occasional couch were taking their toll. And he knew all three of the adults could use the rest now that their missing duckling was back safe.
