1886- day 02
This is my own personal log or diary. It does not matter, I have begun writing this, to detail what will happen, in the eyes of a scientist engineer here in London. I'm contracted by the British Science Expeditions. But well, there has brewing unrest within the city, and I feel like something is bound to happen. There has been rumors about stranger weather in the south colonies, about It getting colder down there. I don't know what I should think of it, but I will keep faith in her majesty the queen. There have also been slight changes in the weather here in Britain. Me and my colleagues in the British Science Company. BSC for short. We are to receive orders from the Government. Wonder what they are.
1886- day 02
We have been designated a mission to investigate the rumors about changing weather patterns, I guess its true. It really is growing colder. Well, we have been sent up to the Scandinavian countries, in the far north of Norway. Specially we have been sent to a experimental generator site. They explained it was some sort of heating device. I sure as hell hope it will work. With us have been sent 2 automatons, they have been sent in advance to prepare the site for us. We will be travelling tomorrow.
1886- day 03
The first step towards the generator has begun, I will not write in this log in the meantime. Unless some major event happens to occur. Well, I have some uplifting news, The temperature was better than we thought it to be. About 9 degrees hot. But oh well. We will see how the summer times will play out
1886- day 10
We have reached the prototype generator site. It was a small trek on foot, but at least we have made it. The temperature is comfortable, it's about -5 degrees. The camp looks well, the automatons are currently shoveling coal into the generator, its turned on In preparation of our arrival, we have gotten enough coal for about 10 days, with more arriving via ship by the nearby port, we are expecting the arrival, of 2 more automatons in order to help with supply. There has been constructed rudimentary tents that will help with the cold. About 5 guys per tent. There has been placed weather stations to see what the hell's happening. I will write if anything interesting has been discovered
1886- day 12
Research has been going steady, we are fully setup into the stations and are beginning to take a look at the weather patterns. We have made contact with our colleagues located in the colonies in india.
1886- day 15
We have acquired our first piece of data, and it shows something worrying. There has been quite a bit harsher weather than we were expecting up here. We are predicting a small storm to pass through here in a few days. It will only last about 3 hours. It should be fine. But the tents may have a hard time staying up. We will be constructing a more reinforced version of housing. In the form of small wooden cabins. We will make contact with the our fellow researchers to compare data .
1886- day 16
This is worrisome, Our data seems to match the data from the south. That should not have been the case. This weather should only have been isolated to the northern regions. But it strangely enough seems to happen in the south as well. We noticed a small dip in temperature here as well. About -3 degrees. Seems minimal, but it also seemed to happen in the south. But only on a bigger scale. With a dip in -5 degrees. This certainly is weird research. But we will se what will happen. We are expecting the temperature returning to a normal degree. We compiled the data and forwarded it to The royal government
1886- day 18.
Our coal supply is running out. 2 days' worth of coal. Hell, it might only be about one day if we want to increase the heat during the small storm incoming. We have gotten no news from the government. But we have been noticing movement in the port. They are importing tons of iron and steel and several works. We will be asking the royal government about this. But we aren't expecting a response, its outside our field of work, and we shouldn't be asking questions. The temperature did also not return to normal. It seems to have stabilized at the lower point, its currently 6 degrees up here. But its about 25 degrees down in india. Stable degrees don't get me wrong. But it's weird
1886- day 19
As expected, no news from the government, but we have gotten more coal to get through the small storm. Research Is going smoothly.
1886- day 20
The storm has arrived at our location. But there's something wrong. It should have stopped a few hours ago. The wind died down but its still cold as all hell. We will be looking at the data tomorrow.
